A New Angle on matter, brilliant!

Thoroughly enjoyed the stasis idea and brilliant underdog story . Especially how the “material” staid
isn’t a material but a physical state. Much like the fact that mater on the atomic level is mostly empty space but is perceived as being solid
Will finish the current series soon.
A great listen/ read!

Easy to understand that this was hard to write

Having read the first book in the middel falls series, I was hooked! But like the author I couldn’t see what I could get out of a book, about the sad and distressing villain in the first book. I couldn’t have been more wrong!
The book was engaging from page one and took me to places I wouldn’t have visited on my own.
It was a very moving read/ listen and was a brilliant redemption for Michael Hollister!

Like listening to a Jack Vance story

The narrators voice is delightful to listen to. That story was entertaining and I really liked the Jack Vance feel of it. I found however the ending a bit disappointing.
Black stone are really excellent publishers of well written, entertaining literature.
We’ll worth the time spent listening.

I liked the Thomas Prescott character and looked forward to the next book after each book finished.

An extraordinary window into a historic period

Barack Obama
Is fascinating both as an author and narrator.
All though I found elements of some of his analysis to be lacking, just as when he held the office of president I found him inspirational and sincere. The contrast to the current president is beyond description.
Very easy to listen to and well worth the time.
A lot of questions I had regarding this period in the White House were answered.
Look forward to the next installment.

Ursala Le Guin rediscovered

I remember being fascinated by the thoroughly human descriptions Ursula colours her stories with, which I read when I was a youth.

It was delightful to have the same experience again with this anthology.

I can’t wait for them to make a screen adaptation.
Thought provoking and entertaining!

Mixture of good and not so good

Most of the stories are written in spirit of Sherlock.
But this collection is a long way from the best.
Ok for light listening.

Very entertaining , surprised me

I liked the way the story developed. The contrasting believable characters gave the story drive and for scifi fans like me it had enough references to current string theory to make it plausible.
The performance was very good.
Definitely recommend it.
