Historia
Every physicist agrees quantum mechanics is among humanity's finest scientific achievements. But ask what it means, and the result will be a brawl. For a century, most physicists have followed Niels Bohr's Copenhagen interpretation and dismissed questions about the reality underlying quantum physics as meaningless. A mishmash of solipsism and poor reasoning, Copenhagen endured, as Bohr's students vigorously protected his legacy, and the physics community favored practical experiments over philosophical arguments.

Historia
In 1991, acting on a tip from a local fisherman, two scuba divers discovered a sunken German U-boat, complete with its crew of 60 men, not too far off the New Jersey coast. The divers, realizing the momentousness of their discovery, began probing the mystery. Over the next six years, they became expert and well-traveled researchers, taught themselves German, hunted for clues in Germany, and constructed theories corrective of the history books, all in an effort to identify this sunken U-boat and its crew.

Fascinating and full of intrigue and history.
Performance was perfect I thought, and the bbn voice was a good match to the subject matter.

For Novice Savers & Investors Only
Revisado: 10-02-19
The title is a little misleading, and the book is not for those who have some experience in saving and investing. The focus is more general, not emphasizing what you should do in the home stretch towards retirement. I hoped this book would focus on the details and nuances of switching from a growth investor to an income investor, and tax strategies, but I learned very little in this regard.

Historia
The First World War is one of history’s greatest tragedies. In this remarkable and intimate account, author G. J. Meyer draws on exhaustive research to bring to life the story of how the Great War reduced Europe’s mightiest empires to rubble, killed 20 million people, and cracked the foundations of the world we live in today. World War I is unique in the number of questions about it that remain unsettled. After more than 90 years, scholars remain divided on these questions, and it seems likely that they always will.

A fascinating and worthy read. So captivated my next read will be Paris 1919. With all due respect Audible I don't need 15 words to Do this book Justice.

Historia
Drawing on previously unpublished eyewitness accounts, prizewinning historian Donald L. Miller has written what critics are calling one of the most powerful accounts of warfare ever published. Here are the horror and heroism of World War II in the words of the men who fought it, the journalists who covered it, and the civilians who were caught in its fury. Miller gives us an up-close, deeply personal view of a war that was more savagely fought - and whose outcome was in greater doubt - than one might imagine. This is the war that Americans on the home front would have read about had they had access to previously censored testimony.

A Book on Another Level
Revisado: 12-16-18
The book is very powerful, like I just spent time in the hearts, minds and souls of all who fought, from the highest commanders to the infantry man. I can't recommend this book highly enough, it is an amazing story of the war, and a story of the men who fought it, and how it changed their lives forever. I now understand why they don't talk about it.
I've listened to many books on the war, and this one is in on another level, far and away the best book for me on the topic. Forever changed how I view this and all wars, and gives life again to the experiences of those who can't talk about it and of those lost souls who's suffering should never be forgotten.

Historia
Quantum theory is weird. As Niels Bohr said, if you aren’t shocked by quantum theory, you don’t really understand it. For most people, quantum theory is synonymous with mysterious, impenetrable science. And in fact for many years it was equally baffling for scientists themselves. In this tour de force of science history, Manjit Kumar gives a dramatic and superbly written account of this fundamental scientific revolution.

Quantum Understanding
Revisado: 04-01-17
Great book. I have listened to The Perfect Theory, The Strangest Man, Genius (Feynman), and Einstein Biography, but Quantum brought me much more understanding of its subject than did the others of there's, because of the depth it goes to. That's saying a lot, given the bizarre nature of this subject, vs those of the other books. Not a hard listen most of the time, and I felt drawn back to it eagerly most of the time. I now feel that quantum mechanics is familiar, not some esoteric physics topic, even though it is.
