Go Big or Go Home - interesting story & characters

A fun story with heart. We listen as a boy teen from the Black Hills of SD's life and body changes due to FRED (the asteroid's) affects on his body and perspective of his self/world/universe during a time of harsh under-employment conditions for his family and community. His changing relationship with his frenemies and especially their War Dog, Atilla, makes this a fun and entertaining story.

I like that the audio included music and stories, not just a dry lecture on a much needed topic. (Some parts are corny, but still appreciated.) I will probably listen again multiple times in the future for a refresher.

I love this short St Mary's Chronicle from Markham's point of view with a head injury. I would love some future stories from other character point of views as well. But I do love Markham.

Netherwings

I usually have difficulty envisioning characters and mystical lands in sci-fi novels, but Wexler wove the main human character's perspective and emotions as an earthling well with the story so that I could share in her intrigue ans surprise in meeting the other-worldly characters and Nether creatures in the story. We share her emotional joys and frustrations throughout the story. Worthy of replay.

Great Story despite audio issues

Great story. The background vocals were often hard to hear and the transition music was overly loud. But the storyline was very interesting and kept me riveted. The characters were very well developed.

Zombie Party

I can hardly wait until the next one in the series is translated to English. My grand daughter and I both love this series. The monsters and teen Tom are quirky, loveable characters. We look forward to hearing where the Ghost Train and its ensemble will go for their next adventure.

I usually try to say something positive, but I'm going to recommend a hard pass on this one. I found it annoying and so did my 7 yr old grandchild. The music didn't help it all. We couldn't finish it.

Dead and Breakfast

Perfect title. I found the characters in the story very intelligent and likeable. The author wove a very enchanting story, while leaving enough doubt as to the existence of the ghost. It was a nice mystery suitable for teens and older who enjoy mysteries without a lot of gore and violence. I look forward to more in this series.
