A good sci fi start
Revisado: 09-25-18
Most of these seeds would make great sci-fi stories on their own. I especially liked the ships that were sent away from a troubled earth to establish a new future.
I wish more of his stories were on Audible.
I liked the narration, she has a pleasant voice, however sometimes it seems too fast - almost over compressed by software. I’d prefer to hear it dramatized slightly slower.

Historia
Martin A. Lee traces the dramatic social history of marijuana, from its origins to its emergence in the 1960s as a defining force in a culture war that has never ceased. Lee describes how the illicit marijuana subculture overcame government opposition and morphed into a dynamic, multibillion-dollar industry. Colorful, illuminating, and at times irreverent, this is a fascinating listen for recreational users and patients, students and doctors, musicians and accountants, Baby Boomers and their kids, and anyone who has ever wondered about the secret life of this ubiquitous herb.

Long, biased history of marijuana prohibition
Revisado: 11-15-16
The author is EXTREMELY thorough on the history, and seems repetitive.
To me, his arguments seem also one-sided in favor of marijuana, with no real examination of opponents arguments (other than saying they are wrong).

Dramatization was too distracting
Revisado: 07-12-14
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
This book might appeal to someone who isn't easily distracted.
Has NIV Audio Bible (Dramatized) turned you off from other books in this genre?
This book has not turned me off to the genre, however I will try to limit my selections of overly dramatized material.
What aspect of uncredited’s performance would you have changed?
To be fair, others might enjoy the over dramatization, but it's not good for me. So, I wouldn't change anything-instead I just won't read.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Distraction from the story.

Pi's fear, knowledge, and cunning keep him alive until they reach the coast of Mexico, where the tiger disappears into the jungle.

A very believable fantasy adventure
Revisado: 01-18-05
The author describes Pi's unusual life as a shipwreck survivor in a very enjoyable style. The detailed explanations are so real that he fools you into believing this is a true story. I was completely duped (in a good way).

Historia
This fabulous account of Sir Ernest Shackelton's epic adventure recreates one of the most astonishing feats of exploration and human courage ever recorded. In August, 1914, the Endurance set sail for the South Atlantic. In October, 1915, still half a continent away from its intended base, the ship was trapped, then crushed in the ice. For five months Shackelton and his men, drifting on ice packs, were castaways in one of the most savage regions of the world...

Great adventure, well told
Revisado: 01-18-05
The author tells this true story in a style similar to adventure novels. I will definately listen to this book more than once!
