While the performers did the best they could, I think with the story, the plot, story and characters seemed very child like. I was disappointed with all three stories. I think with a little tweaking of the profanity, this would be a good “introduction to romance series “.

I don’t understand all of the negative reviews left about this book. I found it well written, read in the first person by the author. His perspective. I think that’s what’s tripping some people up. People don’t understand that what the author is conveying in this book is his reality. His experience from his point of view. Everyone is entitled to their own perception of their own life. Don’t judge what you wouldn’t want others to judge on you. I was impressed by the grace and patience that Prince Harry was able to maintain given everything that he and his family have been put through and I think that he, just like everyone else has the right to his opinion and his feelings. Well done to the author. I for one applaud you.

This was such an interesting look through the eyes of rural Appalachian during a very difficult period in history. A coming of age in such an unconventional way. The real struggles these people faced during this time period (spoken from a healthcare professional from Appalachia) from that time period. A very accurate assessment for a fictional story. Hard to listen at times. I cheered these poor kids on even knowing that the outcome was bleak. Excellent narration, Excellent storyline, Excellent overall!

Books two and three were very good, I enjoyed them a lot. But, I just couldn’t get past the male narrator for book one. I ended up skipping it at chapter 4.

This isn’t my typical read. I was riveted to the story, but realize not everyone will appreciate the heavy subject matter. It did seem a bit drawn out in the middle. There was a lot of subtext throughout the book. Overall, I think it was tragic, but the message to help or get help for those who are struggling with depression is spot on.

This was a well written and wonderfully executed book that I found captivating and interesting at every turn. Michelle Obama has an amazing ability to keep you interested in the story while maintaining your curiosity about what comes next! I thoroughly enjoyed the entire book. Michelle Obama is the epitome of class and an inspiration to women and girls everywhere. I’m proud to have been able to call her my country’s First Lady for eight years. I do believe that we as a country will eventually get to the point of looking past the color of someone’s skin and realize that we’re all people. We all have the same hopes and dreams for ourselves and our children. I’m embarrassed that we’re actually living in a moment in time where we have seemed to go backwards. But, fortunately for our country and for our children, this too shall pass. The days of tribal politics and separation and segregation are dying. And so too are the old white men that perpetuate such separation and segregation. The overwhelming majority of the people in this country will rise above the hatred and the tribal beliefs that try to keep us apart. Thank you for allowing the readers (especially the ones that respect and admire you) a glimpse into your story.

This was my very first Audible book. I’m very glad that I picked this book. This is the story of the late years of Senator McCain’s service and life. I very much enjoyed hearing about the inside view of his candidacy for president as well as his travel during trips related to his position in the Armed Services/Foreign relations committees. I very much enjoyed John McCain’s voice telling his story. Beau Bridges did a good job reading, but his delivery was off in my opinion. Overall, 5 stars, Must have in your library.
