For Hudson, the virtual world of PrimeVerse isn't all bad. It's beautiful, much nicer than overpopulated Earth. It almost feels like a vacation except for the volatile wildlife, lack of any amenities, and—oh yeah—the inability to log out. Exploring the world, learning his class, and leveling skills is all fun and games until a powerful rogue player with a vendetta shows up to wipe out Hudson and his primitive tribe. Thrust into a conflict he didn't create, Hudson is forced into a cycle of respawning where he learns that even death can be used as a tool. So much for that vacation.

MC isn't completely over powered, has good banter, and fun action sequences. some disjointment between the first books, but it's not major.

Aunt is not pronounced "ant"

If you are narrating a book set in England in the set timeframe, that you wrote, I would think you would know the proper pronunciation of the word aunt. Even in modern England, I you would probably be hard pressed to hear it pronounced that way. If you want the proper way to say it, try pronouncing it "Ont." Also, the CONSTANT plugs about your other works is very distracting and annoying.

Felt like the beginning was forced to get to plot

Just to start, I have enjoyed the first 7 books. But, within first 3 chapters I stopped the book in disgust.
The book starts off with an attack/ heist against the crew on their ship. Action, action, action, ok, great. But then, the main character, who is known for his tactics and military prowess, completely forgets about the 10 mechs in his cargo bay that would have prevented the whole plot of the book from happening, simply by ordering the mech AIs to go take out the boarding shuttles.
It feels lazy, like the author was stumped on how to start so he just jumped into action and hoped no one would notice.

The narrator seemed to forget the voice of one of the characters, as in the first 3 books he had an Irish lilt, but in this book the character suddenly sounded from Boston or Philly. Made it slightly confusing about who was speaking.

A little too much time is spent about how crazy or depressed some of the characters are, but a good book. Kate Reading has a tendency to mispronounce some words, and when it comes to proper nouns, doesn't always seem to be on the same page as Michael Kramer on how to say them.
