The narrators were amazing.
The series, great and I’m looking forward to hearing more.

I am never one to write a negative review, I believe this is the first one of ever, which is still a compliment to the writer, because this book invoked a lot of emotion-however Ruby…. WHY?!?!



Why, why, why would you wait the WHOLE BOOK to let Charlie know what is going on with you, especially with his history? Ugh. Couldn’t get past that. I understand some mystery but the entire book.
Ruined it for me…

Loved it… and that Epilogue… 😢

I loved this book, it was a bit long, but I’ll never complain about hearing Sebastian York- Mac is my FAVORITE character and her voice was done so well! I’m so glad to hear from her again and that epilogue, I’m not crying, you’re crying… just beautiful ❤️

Mid Series Start?

I knew going into this book that it was book 1 of 3, I was prepared for that. However, even several chapters into book one, it reads like it was already the middle of a series.
I wish there would have been a disclaimer saying it would be best to “read these books X X” first (or some mention) because if I’m being honest, I would not have used a credit.
The story itself, seemed a bit chaotic to me for a bit (see above reason) but it is written very well and I can honestly say, definitely invoked a lot of emotion from me. I must have missed TW’s, my fault but I am now invested, as every author likes to hear I am sure, so onto book two I go, another credit will be used.
As for the narrators they were SPOT on as usual and fantastic choices.

Good Story

This was a good, at times incredibly emotional story about finding a lost friend/love.

I did find a new pet peeve of mine while listening to the story through audible….short chapters… There is nothing like getting into the story and 30 seconds later hearing a new chapter announced, This happened for the entirety of this book… It may have been different if I was reading it but listening to it, it definitely stuck out. The chapters definitely could’ve been longer as it would’ve flowed better.

Other than that, I’m glad to have purchased this book, it was worth the credit for me.

What a story….

I am a bit speechless and am going to have a book hangover.

So spoilers but some light teasing.
This book had me so emotional it was so beautifully written and moved me so much, I have to admit- I was almost bothered how emotional I got trying to get ready to go out and listening to this book.

There was everything in this book. Absolutely everything and when I got it I didn’t even realize it was related to The Aristocratic- so glad Sig got his story ❤️🙏🏼

Unexpected emotional detour

I really enjoyed this booked so much and then it took an emotional detour of sorts, which I won’t spoil but it changed the remaining tone of the book for me some. It was heavier then I anticipated it to be, though, there was still an HEA, so don’t be deterred from that.
Either way, it was a great story- I’m glad I listened- it just went in a different direction then I thought it would but that is the craft of a writer…

First M/M I read and SO WORTH IT!!!!

This was my very first M/M I read and SO WORTH IT!!!! I have read every other one in the series but was apprehensive about purchasing, so I kept putting if if. But I also kept thinking about it- their story has ALWAYS intrigued me so much. They were always so interesting because of how opposite they are, so I was always so curious if their story.

It was written so well, there were so many times I laughed at Nico’s inner dialogue. I cried for Bran’s struggles. I was humbled by the struggle of having to face your sexuality and feeling like you will not only be judged by society at large, but your circle, your people and mostly the way some judge themselves.

I fell in love with their love, their unique and unconditional love. A real opposite’s attract here…. And good Lord, talk about attract- I never through I would be so into the smut of it all but I was here for that too. 🔥 I believe all the emotions will be felt listening to this one- as they certainly were for me! Completely worth the credit!

Meeting in the middle

I love the plot and honestly the heart of the story.
If more people would “meet in the middle” the country would be a more productive place. I found myself relating myself so much to Ben’s character and way of thinking and especially when he says something along the lines of “I don’t have to blindly agree with everything just because of party affiliation” and “I can see some points from the other side”.
This has been me since I’ve started voting. I always say people shouldn’t just vote because it’s their party- Do they know what they stand for? What their platform is? What has they achieved so far? What type of character they have? Etc. I don’t need to only know if the are blue or red, I need to know they are human and what kind.

Was I the only one….

I love alpha males.
I adore mafia genre.
But this whole book all I kept thinking is “am I the only one who is thinking he straight kidnapped her” and she made excuses for it.
I wanted to love it.
Liked parts of it.
Loved the narrators but I couldn’t get past that part enough to thoroughly enjoy it.

I just kept yelling the whole time.

Liked the Story. Loved the Hero’s. Hated the Heroine!

I’m sure I will be a minority reviewer.

First off, my pros: I enjoyed the premise of the story a young woman trying to find herself in both success and love. I loved the idea of the colleague troupe and navigating the workplace flirtation/romance. I loved the narrators. The writing itself is very good to as it does provoke emotion in the reader, or at least- this reader.

My cons: I came to despise the heroines character. I felt she was incredibly selfish and toyed with everyone’s emotions throughout the story. For example every single character who expressed their love and interest in her she had a sexual relationship with- including her female best friend, who was the sister of her ex fiancé whom she was on and off again with. Afterward she would tell them it could never happen again- why even do it in the first place knowing how each felt about her? To me, this was just a prime example of her extreme narcissism and selfishness that was present throughout the whole story.

I felt very torn between the two heroes because even though we only had little time with Anson compared to Bentley, I thought both of them were much better than what she deserved. I liked them both for separate reasons and felt she put them both in a very terrible position toying with their emotions just because she was being selfish and interested in instant gratification and thinking on a whim without repercussions.

Overall I really did still like the story and between the heroes, the narrators and the premise would still give it about a 4/5 but as the female lead’s character developed I just found it hard to identify with her and felt myself grinding my teeth as the chapters went on… But that makes for a good writing to bring out that kind of emotion in a reader!
