Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Oh yes,If you like sifi books most anyone would like this series. The plot and characters are well thought out. Alot of the ship descriptions and people are very factual. But mostly it just plain fun.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Capt. Ready
He reminds me of my CO when I was in service.

What does William Dufris bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Intriguing Series of Books

If you like escape type Science Fiction, you'll love this series of eleven books. From the first chapter on you are drawn to read the rest of the first book. I personally almost couldn't wait to get the rest of the series. I drive for a living and listen to books in audio format. The miles fly by when the story line is a good one and this is one of my favorites. After the first three which go well together,the story picks up again in the next series,starting with Dies the Fire,continuing from the opposite side of what occured in the first series. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

This is the 1st in a series of 7 books + 3 listed under The Ellie Chronicles that will captivate any reader or listener. If you happen to be American you'll have to learn the small differences in cultural languages.
After that though you'll be captivated by the depth and feeling that leaves the book and enters your imagination. I'm American and drive what the Brit's and Aussie's call a heavy truck (18 Wheeler for the American's) for a living. I have listened to many many audio books over the year's and for me at least
this series of books rate's #1. If you saw Red Dawn years ago you may think that this seems to parallel
that good movie. But the similarity is only skin deep. Once you enter the world of Tomorrow ,When The War Began,you enter into what might be the reality of any country in the world at any given time. You will be left with the question"What would I or my children do if this happen here". I'd give this series more than 5 stars if possible.
