Perhaps a true naval fan would appreciate...
Revisado: 11-23-15
the story is good. the performance is, to me, overly excessive. the story moves very slow due to allowing for every form of naval protocol. a good story does not need all the minutiae, especially when it's fiction. if someone can appreciate protocol and ship board minutiae, then they would enjoy it.
lastly, the narrator's voice is too deep. it's a novel, not a Barry White song.

Historia
The Crimea was one of the crucibles of the war on the Eastern Front, where first a Soviet and then a German army were surrounded, fought desperate battles, and were eventually destroyed. The fighting in the region was unusual for the Eastern Front in many ways, in that naval supply, amphibious landings, and naval evacuation played major roles, while both sides were also conducting ethnic cleansing as part of their strategy - the Germans eliminating the Jews and the Soviets purging the region of Tartars.

Good but wordy

The story and the region are great. What should be left out was the spelling out of each and every title, caliber of gun, and affiliation to platoon, company, regiment, or battalion. A nice map as well.

Historia
In 1886, the U.S. had no navy to speak of. But it did have Alfred T. Mahan, a captain of the U.S. Navy who had spent much of his career observing the exemplary fleets of the British Empire. At age 46, Mahan was just 10 years short of retirement age when the newly formed Naval and War College at Newport, Rhode Island, asked him to lecture on naval history and tactics. Out of these lectures grew a book that would change the world. It's no exaggeration that The Influence of Seapower Upon History affected the outcome of both great world wars. When it was first published in 1890, prime ministers, kings, admirals, and chancellors eagerly studied its strategies, which England first employed to rule the seas. Likewise, all the major powers have used it to shape imperial policies.

And editorial cloaked as history and written in a painful manner. Only covers history until the end of the American Revolution

Historia
FNH Audio presents an unabridged reading of this WWI naval history by an author who actually took part in the battle(s) described. This plain, unvarnished account, so far as is known, is the first attempt that has been made to link with the description of the Battle of the Falkland Islands, fought on December 8th 1914, to the events leading up to that engagement. Each phase presented has been read and approved by officers who participated.

Good story of naval war in wwi. The reader is a bit high pitched but it is worth a listen.

Historia
Born in 1909 in Opava, in the Czech Republic (former Czechoslovakia), Franz Bardon dedicated his entire life to the study of the mystical arts. He toured Czechoslovakia giving demonstrations of his spiritual abilities under the stage name “Frabato.” When conventional medicine failed them, Franz used his mystical knowledge to treat patients at his naturopathic clinic. Persecuted by both the Nazis and Communist regimes, attacked by a Satanic Lodge (known as FOGC), Franz Bardon's life came to an end on July 10th 1958 in a concentration camp.

Audible should not even offer this title until it is discernible, assembled, and its quality improved. I would give it 0.1 stars if I could. A waste of my credit... :(
