Historia
There’s a story about Rich Paul that everyone knows: A twenty-one-year-old kid from Cleveland who sells sports jerseys out of his car meets a high school basketball phenom named LeBron James at an airport—the two become friends and forge a decades-long partnership that reinvents the business of sports. That random meeting might seem like the lucky break that changed Paul’s life. But a moment of good fortune means nothing without the struggle that gets you there. And the truth is, Paul had always been lucky.

surprisingly good!
Revisado: 04-02-24
When I say surprisingly good. It may seem as though I'm giving a backwards compliment, but on the contrary, nothing can be further from the truth. When I initially was recommended this book by a close friend. I was hesitant to say the least. I'm not the biggest, LeBron James fan. So I thought this book was going to be nothing more than LeBron James, a little more LeBron James, sprinkled with a little more LeBron James. So imagine my shock when I was pleasantly surprised that, it was not any of that, at all! Now don't get me wrong, LeBron James does make the cameo. But he was there, and gone, so fast that you can barely even notice it. At the core of this book, it is a man telling his story, his triumphs is fears and his accomplishments. It is a story that I am well familiar with because it happens all over America all over the world and many ghettos. But unfortunately those men and women never get a chance to tell that story. The book had heart soul and relatability. not too long so it's a pretty easy listen to, I definitely would recommended.

From batting averages and political polls to game shows and medical research, the real-world application of statistics continues to grow by leaps and bounds. How can we catch schools that cheat on standardized tests? How does Netflix know which movies you'll like? What is causing the rising incidence of autism? As best-selling author Charles Wheelan shows us in Naked Statistics, the right data and a few well-chosen statistical tools can help us answer these questions and more.

It's good but it's not what you think it is
Revisado: 04-13-22
this was actually a pretty decent book. this box down the thinking behind statistics. not much on mathematical equations but the reason why the equation exists and how you would use them. If you're looking for mathematical. understanding this isn't the book, but if you're looking for philosophical understanding of why this is definitely the book.

is good. book was very well put together. But a little misleading. it may lead to read it to believe you're going to get an understanding of how to do math. But instead you get an understanding why behind the man. But it does increase analytical thinking. most recommended

Historia
When a pseudonymous programmer introduced “a new electronic cash system that’s fully peer-to-peer, with no trusted third party” to a small Online mailing list in 2008, very few paid attention. Ten years later, and against all odds, this upstart autonomous decentralized software offers an unstoppable and globally-accessible hard money alternative to modern central banks. The Bitcoin Standard analyzes the historical context to the rise of Bitcoin, the economic properties that have allowed it to grow quickly, and its likely economic, political, and social implications.

Digestible knowledge for the everyday person
Revisado: 02-04-21
Great book that touches on a range of topics without overwhelming the reader. The Arthur does an absolutely great job of giving you a firm understanding of the topics at hand such as gold cryptocurrency specifically Bitcoin and even silver. A great listen for people who are just beginning to enter the space of cryptocurrency and precious metals.
