Historia
The siren song of Cerro Gordo, a desolate ghost town perched high above Death Valley, has seduced thousands since the 1800s, but few fell harder for it than Brent Underwood, who moved there in March of 2020, only to be immediately snowed in and trapped for weeks. It had once been the largest silver mine in California. Over $500 million worth of ore was pulled from the miles of tunnels below the town. Butch Cassidy, Mark Twain, and other infamous characters of the American West were rumored to have stayed there. Newspapers reported a murder a week. But that was over 150 years ago.

History comes to life
Revisado: 05-18-24
I have been watching Brent’s YouTube videos from day one. I loved this book as it was a recap of all of the episodes. Brent’s voice is easy to listen to and the time just slipped away. Highly recommend.

Historia
After a deadly attack in South Sudan left six-year-old Achut Deng without a family, she lived in refugee camps for ten years, until a refugee relocation program gave her the opportunity to move to the United States. When asked why she should be given a chance to leave the camp, Achut simply told the interviewer: I want life. But the chance at starting a new life in a new country came with a different set of challenges. Some of them equally deadly. Taught by the strong women in her life not to look back, Achut kept moving forward, overcoming one obstacle after another.

Angels among us, don't miss this story!
Revisado: 11-28-17
Bowersox makes the Rocky Mountain Angel's come to life in this warm tale of three brothers and their new neighbor, Mari. The story is set in the very real location of Colorado Springs, or Old Colorado City and is believable from the beginning to the end. Bowersox the author is also the narrator and tells the story in the way it was intended to be told, something that a narrator with no connection to the story cannot do. Don't miss this story

You have to have this book!
Revisado: 10-15-14
Would you consider the audio edition of A Tale of Two Kitties to be better than the print version?
This is a darling story about two cats that do things cats do! The words paint great pictures of what is happening, but I loved it best when following along with the hard copy book to see the great illustrations. This would be a great gift for any lover of animal tales.
What was one of the most memorable moments of A Tale of Two Kitties?
When they cats were un-decorating the Christmas tree it make me think of those special times in my life!
Have you listened to any of Jodi Bowersox’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Jodi's performances are well spoken and easy listening.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
This is a short tale - about 12 minutes

Nice story
Revisado: 05-12-14
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I enjoyed the story although it was predictable. Still it was enjoyable time spent. The narrator has a voice that is easy to listen to and that contributed to the enjoyment of the book.
If you’ve listened to books by Blaire Brand before, how does this one compare?
This is my first book by Blaire Brand
Which character – as performed by Jodi Bowersox – was your favorite?
I liked Ellie May Sheradon the best, she seemed to be a determined and honorable young woman.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
It is not likely that I would go see this book as a movie, it was too predictable.
