Loved all the Spruce stories but this one didn’t work for me. The MC was just shallow and holds a basic grudge too long in the story. Love Mr Banner but he shouldn’t record his own work.

It isn’t my cup of tea. It really didn’t explore any new story lines I hadn’t already read in the MM space at least. It seemed to me to be written for a mass hetero audience and didn’t explore or teach any new. My take is it isn’t Schitt’s Creek or My Big Fat Greek Wedding and I wish it had been.

Why should I buy two books to get my story? Very disappointed and frustrated that this talented author delivered as such. I avoided the blurbs and press to not spoil the story and now I wish I hadn’t and makes me wary of other authors doing the same.
