Historia
On the surface, Saundra Smith seems to have her life in order. As a dedicated kindergarten teacher and loving friend, she's content - enough. But beneath that happy façade, Saundra is also hesitant to love again after a breakup shattered her heart into a million pieces. Corporate executive Chris Parrish is anxious for a fresh start in a new town, far from his ex-wife and the problems that came with her.

Credible
Revisado: 03-04-23
I found the characters to be very believable. I enjoyed it and my wife loved it. The author added details to the story to better engage the reader and paint a picture, however her limited experience as a author was evident in the story telling. How is that one might ask. It had a good story line and a better author would have made it feel more like a memoir or an actual experience, drawing you more and more into the tale to the point you almost forget none of it is real. The “bottom line” is that I liked the book very much and look forward to reading additional works by the author.

Historia
Just as I Am is my truth. It is me, plain and unvarnished, with the glitter and garland set aside. Here, I am indeed Cicely, the actress who has been blessed to grace the stage and screen for six decades. Yet I am also the church girl who once rarely spoke a word. I am the teenager who sought solace in the verses of the old hymn for which this book is named. I am a daughter and mother, a sister, and a friend. I am an observer of human nature and the dreamer of audacious dreams.

Slowly Moving Yet Inspirational

The story is very personal and as I read on, it became clear why it had to be told from such a perspective. For me it was a story revealing nuggets of truth about life and happenstance.

Historia
In my book, you will meet a little girl named Viola who ran from her past until she made a life-changing decision to stop running forever. This is my story, from a crumbling apartment in Central Falls, Rhode Island, to the stage in New York City, and beyond. This is the path I took to finding my purpose but also my voice in a world that didn’t always see me.

Compelling and Captivating
Revisado: 02-04-23
It was so “real to life” initially that it shocked me. Her early years were so full of what I can best describe as darkness that it became a little laborsom to hear but it was so compelling that I couldn’t stop listening. I enjoyed it extremely and there are many “life lessons” to be acquired. I highly recommend it.
