Historia
Rand Fishkin, the founder and former CEO of Moz, reveals how traditional Silicon Valley "wisdom" leads far too many startups astray, with the transparency and humor that his hundreds of thousands of blog readers have come to love. Everyone knows how a startup story is supposed to go: A young, brilliant entrepreneur has a cool idea, drops out of college, defies the doubters, overcomes all odds, makes billions, and becomes the envy of the technology world. This is not that story. It's not that things went badly for Rand Fishkin; they just weren't quite so Zuckerberg-esque.

Transparent & Honest Look.. BUT..
Revisado: 05-14-19
I enjoyed Rand's transparent insights into his life as the CEO of Moz. There were many positive aspects of the audio - the pacing and narration by Rand was fantastic. His hard look at personal failures were insightful. The lessons and tips to other CEO's was appreciated. But, I think the listener would highly benefit from reading another tale - that of Moz's Glassdoor reviews from ex-employees. I don't care who's right or wrong, but it's noteworthy how a CEO can be so self-critical, yet unable to grasp the differing perspectives and opinions of his many ex-employees.

Historia
In Happy Derren Brown explores changing concepts of happiness - from the surprisingly modern wisdom of the Stoics and Epicureans in classical times right up until today, when the self-help industry has attempted to claim happiness as its own. He shows how many of self-help’s suggested routes to happiness and success – such as positive thinking, self-belief and setting goals – can be disastrous to follow and, indeed, actually cause anxiety. Happy aims to reclaim happiness and to enable us to appreciate the good things in life, in all their transient glory.

Wonderful reading!

Derren has a British twang that peaks your ears and makes the audio a comely delight. Interesting philosophical take that applies to modern day applicable thinking. Enjoyed this a lot, thanks Derren!
