I enjoyed listening to this because
Revisado: 03-25-24
This kept me entertained while I was busy. I would stop and focus in on what was happening several times.
The world was vividly described and characters were believable.
Occasionally, I wished for more inflections during the narration.
I enjoyed it, and would recommend it.

Drink everytime you hear Carapace...
Revisado: 09-28-22
Project Nemesis was a well crafted adventure that I enjoyed listening to.
However, in the last 1/3 of the book, the over use of the word Carapace drove me crazy!
I had to look it up just to spell it correctly. I found out it's the back, upper part of a crustacean shell.
A solid story with good narration.

Reluctant Adventures Series
Revisado: 09-24-22
Reluctant Adventures, those words grabbed my attention immediately. Who can't relate to that in some way?
I found Fletcher Connolly's adventures to be humorously clever. I especially liked the 21st century references to star wars and the Irish flavour.
The narration by Nick Podehl was wonderful! So many different characters very well done.
I will be seeking out more of both the author and narrator's work.

Historia
Ashok Vadal was once a member of the highest caste in all of Lok. As a Protector, he devoted his life to upholding the Law, rooting out those who still practiced the old ways and delivering justice with his ancestor blade Angruvadal. None was more merciless than he in stamping out the lingering belief in gods and demons among the casteless. His brutality was legendary and celebrated. But soon Ashok learned that his life to that point had been a lie. He himself, senior member of the Protector Order, was casteless. He had been nothing more than an unwitting pawn in a political game.

Coming from Tom Stranger; Staying for Ashok Vadal!
Revisado: 09-15-22
My first taste of Mr. Correia was from A Murder of Manatees, then onto The Adventures of Tom Strange.
House of Assassins was part of a 2 for 1 deal, so I picked it up.
At first it was just a story in the background.
Then the characters began to develop. Each with their own unique intricacies, personalities and voices. Soon I was invested in their cause as well!
The narration of Mr. Reynolds added to my enjoyment and commitment. All characters came alive with their own voice. I will seek out more of his phenomenal performances.
This was thrilling, gripping and well crafted Action Adventure.
Mr. Correia has impressed me on both spectrums of my Audible library. Well Done!

Historia
The Reservoir follows an unexceptional man in an exceptional time. We see our present-day pandemic world and New York City through the eyes of a former Wall Street veteran, Ridley, as he, in his enforced quarantined solitude, looks back upon his life. He examines his wins, his failures, the gnawing questions - his career, his divorce, his estranged daughter - and questions what it all means and who he really was.

Outstanding conclusion to The Shining!
Revisado: 08-07-20
This was a thrilling listen. I loved the ending.
Will Patton's narration was spot on! He captured each character perfectly.
The notes from Stephen King were very insightful for me.
I bought The Shining from Audible and listened to that as a refresher, then moved on to this.
What a great ride, so much better than the movies!

For thousands of years, there has been a cycle: a Demon King rises and conquers, and a Hero is reborn a hundred years later to defeat him. Each time, civilizations are ground to dust beneath the Demon King's hordes, but humanity has remained secure in the belief that a Hero of legend will always save them. There's just one slight problem. It's only been 23 years since the Demon King's latest rise, and this time, he's already conquered more than half the world. If humanity simply waits for the Hero's return, there may be no world left for him to save.

Revisado: 05-16-20
Andrew Rowe has penned an entertaining homage to those pioneering RPGs like Dragon's Lair and Zelda. This listen brought me back to the early days of video gaming with quests, dungeon crawling, defeating powerful shadow warriors and demon lords.
Suzy Jackson provided an outstanding performance as the energetic narrator. Very pleasant on the ears.

An Intriguing Story, He said. Yes, He Said.
Revisado: 04-16-20
This listen was a difficult one for me to rate, he CONFESSED.
Vaguely remembering enjoying the movie, I thought I would give this a listen, he EXPLAINED. The story was entertaining and provided the sci-fi thriller experience that I was looking for, he DETAILED.
My biggest issue with Sphere, is the redundancy of "he said / she said / X said"!, he TOUTED.
There must be 1,000 different ways to relay that someone is speaking, yet only a handful of those terms are used in this book, he INDICATED. It was painful to endure the conversations that took place between the characters, he EXPOUNDED. I had to take several breaks from listening just to regain my composure!, he REVEALED.
Other then the repetitive nature, I enjoyed the narration of Sphere by Scott Brick, he EMPHASIZED. I felt he added depth and emotion to the characters he portrayed, he ADDED. I'm not sure if a narrator can take any liberties with the script, but Sphere definitely needed some rewording, he OPINED.
Overall, the story was entertaining, however the writing style was a distraction that hampered my listening enjoyment, he CONFIDED. I felt relieved when this audible experience was over!, he EXCLAIMED.

A Hilarious, Avant-garde Audible Joyride!
Revisado: 04-16-20
Not being familiar with their work, I didn't know what to expect out of this production. However, I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this entertaining short story by the creative and humorous Larry Correia and the tremendous narration by the multi-talented Adam Baldwin! Animal Mother...who knew?
This journey was laugh out loud funny at times reminding me of a shorter version of the epic saga, The Hitchhicker's Guide to the Galaxy. For example, when a baby version of Netanyahu gleefully Krav Magas a dolphin kidnapper unconscious.
Throwing political correctness out the window and taking jabs at everything from man buns to French Idaho, I found this a refreshing experience that is so needed in this time of coddling and triggering anyone. Lighten up, World!
The voice acting by Adam Baldwin was the icing on this cake! From Donald Trump to Wendell the manatee, Adam added even deeper layers to this delightfully, witty audible original. His character acting was top notch.
I will be revisiting this amusing tale when ever I need a good laugh, and adding more titles from both Larry Correia and Adam Baldwin to my collection.
