Historia
August 1939: London is dismal under the weight of impending war with Germany as Hitler’s forces continue to sweep across Europe. Into this uncertain maelstrom steps Grace Bennett, young and ready for a fresh start in the bustling city streets she’s always dreamed of - and miles away from her troubled past in the countryside. With aspirations of working at a department store, Grace never imagined she’d wind up employed at Primrose Hill, an offbeat bookshop nestled in the heart of the city - after all, she’s never been much of a reader.

This was my kind of book! loved the historical background. The story was interesting and moved at a great pace. Good characters and loved the narrator. easy to lose myself in the story, laughed and cried. definitely would recommend.

Historia
Tom Felton’s adolescence was anything but ordinary. His early rise to fame in beloved films like The Borrowers catapulted him into the limelight, but nothing could prepare him for what was to come after he landed the iconic role of the Draco Malfoy, the bleached blonde villain of the Harry Potter movies. For the next ten years, he was at the center of a huge pop culture phenomenon and yet, in between filming, he would go back to being a normal teenager trying to fit into a normal school. Speaking with great candor and his signature humor, Tom shares his experience.

Good listen by "Draco"

Very interesting to learn how the Potter films impacted Tom Felton. He shows vulnerability in recounting his young years and encouragement for others in similar situations. Well done!

disappointing as audio
Revisado: 10-12-20
Like many of the other reviews, the story was good, kept interest. However, the narration was horrible. the voice for the character "Alex" was the only one I enjoyed. The others didn't fit the characters, were poorly narrated in regards to tone and inflection. The whispering, airy voices were way off base. Thankfully, Alex's viewpoint were many of the chapters so I was able to get through it. I would recommend getting the kindle or paper version.

Historia
A deluge has flooded the high ground near Hanging Falls - but heavy rains aren't the only menace descending on Timber Creek. While on a scouting mission to pinpoint trail damage, officer Mattie Cobb and her K-9 partner, Robo, stumble upon a body floating at the edge of a lake. Robo catches human scent, which leads to an enigmatic forest-dweller who quickly becomes suspect number one. With help from veterinarian Cole Walker, Mattie identifies the victim and discovers an odd religious cult whose dress and manners harken back to the 19th century.

For the whole series so far
Revisado: 09-21-20
The series has a decent story line. It lags in places and feels almost like a TV series that continues; each book furthers the same backstory. The narrator is not good. Inflections are off on many occasions and attempts to use different voices is inconsistent and I often wasn't sure which character was talking. Over all, it did keep my interest; but one thing that was bothersome-- it kept bringing p that the K-9 was brought to the town as a drug dog, but each book is more about a murder.

Hiccup is lost in the Library Labyrinth and the Driller-Dragons, Madguts and Murderous, are on the prowl. Hiccup's birthday is not going to be the quiet affair he hoped for.... This book also contains a comprehensive Dragonese Dictionary for those who'd like to dragon-whisper themselves.
