Historia
Christmas is just around the corner, and Ronja and Melissa’s dreamer of a father is out of work again. When ten-year-old Ronja hears about a job at a Christmas tree stand near where the family lives in central Oslo, she thinks it might be the stroke of luck they all need. Soon, the fridge fills with food, and their father returns home with money in his pocket and a smile on his face. But one evening he disappears into the night under the pretense of buying Christmas gifts—and the daughters know he has gone to his favorite local pub.

What? Christmas? More like depression!
Revisado: 12-04-24
I found this very depressing especially for a Christmas story. This is something you should read in the middle of the year. Definitely not a joyful book.

Good story but…
Revisado: 05-06-24
I personally prefer a younger narrator. I felt like I was having my grandmother read me a story. That is not bad if that is what you are looking for. The story and of itself is OK. I appreciate for somewhat of a younger chharacter. But that is just my personal taste . Overall, everything is good. But not one of my favorites.

Always great
Revisado: 01-29-24
Anything by Neil Gaiman is wonderful. Especially when he narrates it himself. To have an author, read their own work, let you know exactly how the words are supposed to sound, how the passages are supposed to go, how the thoughts are supposed to be.

Revisado: 12-15-22
What a wonderful description of what the naughty list truly is. It gives children a lot of self-confidence when somebody has misunderstood their true actions. It’s a loving story for children and adults. You can just envision the old man sitting and telling it to the children of Naught. Had a little bit of foreshadowing here and there, but what book doesn’t have that. This book is just so tender and sweet and full of Christmas. I especially loved in the end the dedication to his first girlfriend and wife and their children.

Revisado: 12-08-22
What else can I say but EXCELLENT!!! I have been listening to Audible books since they first came out and have hardly left a review, but had to today. This book was so well written, well narrated, and fitting with the holidays while not too long. Thank you to the author for giving us this book and added thanks to Audible for providing it to us in this format.

Zero is just one of 20,000 people aboard a spaceship bound for a new planet set to be colonized. The journey is over a century long but luckily, everyone is in stasis, so they’ll be safe and sound asleep during the trip. Everyone that is, except for Zero, whose pod has malfunctioned, waking him up a hundred years early. His initial excitement in roaming the ship alone quickly turns to a heart-stopping interstellar adventure when a family of space pirates show up, trying to hijack the ship and take the colonizers hostage.
