Good story, editing quirks
Revisado: 05-30-24
Good story and narrator, but sometimes words that shouldn't flow together so, like the editor connected two recordings takes but forgot to leave a pause between sentences. Small blemish on otherwise good book.

Historia
An actor is brutally murdered while sitting alone in his fully locked car. A note arrives claiming responsibility and explaining the man died not for who he was, but for who he pretended to be. He played Dr. Watson in a production of Sherlock Holmes. The note promises to kill everybody in Hollywood currently playing Dr. Watson: a surprisingly long list.

Apparently that's all people do. Starts grating real fast. What editor approved this? Story is fine, but worst review of a Meyer book from me due to this.

Author really needed to change that phrase around, but didn't help that the narrator enunciated so much that it stuck out.

Good book, weird transitions

While I thought the narrator performed well, he kept ending chapters with an inflection like a middle of a paragraph. Slightly jarring.

Historia
The authors of the acclaimed and best-selling The Civil War, Jazz, and The War turn to another uniquely American phenomenon: baseball. Geoffrey C. Ward's and Ken Burns’s moving and fascinating history of the game goes beyond stolen bases, double plays, and home runs to demonstrate how baseball has been influenced by, and has in turn influenced, American life.

Wish it wasn't. Still worth listening to, but the documentary is longer than the audio book.

The readers are good, but sounds like it was ripped from a cassette tape. Not up to audible quality.
