In fact, there is a difference between acceptance and 'feeling good' about what happened—acceptance means allowing yourself to feel whatever emotions naturally come up in response to what you are going through. It means acknowledging the reality of the pain, even though in an ideal world, it shouldn't be that way.

There were several parts of the book where I had to pause and reflect (as the author suggests) for days, as repressed thoughts and feelings were brought to light. I highly recommend this book to everyone, as we have all likely had endured some form of trauma or have overwhelming feelings or thoughts

This is a great addition to the Alien universe that opens way for more novels. Bishop did indeed deserve his own story. It was a fantastic surprise to have different actors read the different parts

I've read over 20 parenting books, and this is one of the two (the other being "Siblings Without Rivalry") that made a significant impact on the way I understand things. Although the other books have useful information, this is the only one with so many practical applications.
