Hard at first but worth it
Revisado: 11-12-22
The book was good, slow to start and the new narrator made listening difficult at first. No fault of his own, it's just jarring after 10 books of one voice defining characters. I feel the book was necessary to get information out there though, I'm looking forward to the next in the series.

Historia
The battle of the dead was won, but at a great cost. Sion, leader of the Mist Village, was left with only pain and regret as Richter was claimed by the abyss. A tier above the rest
Revisado: 06-09-20
This next part of "The Land" was incredibly interesting and offered some great insight into how character growth and development can be achieved. This book was well written, well-read, and was enjoyable throughout. Richter spends a lot of time on personal growth, developing new skills and talents, increasing his abilities, and leaving you yearning to know more. Dr. Kong, in his typical fashion, makes jokes throughout, including the "infamous chapter," that can leave you laughing out loud or cringing in your seat. Overall the book was wonderful, my only complaint is that I feel it ended too soon. DR. Kong spends hours going through this system and that system but it doesn't feel like Richter makes much physical progress. I do however see why it was stopped where it was, and I really hope this leads to a slightly longer and exciting book 9. I can't wait!

While at the end of the book I find myself saying that I really enjoyed it, I found it very difficult to get into at the start. this book seems to change the way the world I fell in love with, during the mistborn books, works. This is a great book and by all means you should definitely read it, but if you're coming right after the end of the first three missed born books, I would suggest you give it some time before starting this one.

An amazing cast plus fantastic writing, set in the world that we all love dearly is a recipe for success. Even if you just "like" Star Wars, you will find your self enthralled by this book and the characters within. Don't even question buying this book,*Waves his hand* this is the book you're looking for.

Historia
In this dark and gritty collection - featuring short stories from Jim Butcher, Seanan McGuire, Kevin J. Anderson, and Rob Thurman - nothing is as simple as black and white, light and dark, good and evil.... Unfortunately, that's exactly what makes it so easy to cross the line.

If you're looking for Dresden, don't bother…
Revisado: 01-20-17
Personally, I thought this was going to be another version of book 11.5. Meaning a bunch of well written short stories that give us a good look at the "between the book " moments of the series that we all love. The first story, written by Butcher, was exactly that. The rest of the stories save one or two were just mediocre. I gave this review a story star for each story I actually liked.
Bottom line, give this one a skip and go look on the Dresden wiki for the story details.

Historia
North Korea is isolated and hungry, bankrupt and belligerent. It is also armed with nuclear weapons. Between 150,000 and 200,000 people are being held in its political prison camps, which have existed twice as long as Stalin’s Soviet gulags and twelve times as long as the Nazi concentration camps. Very few born and raised in these camps have escaped - but Shin Dong-hyuk did.

A Ticket On The Feels Train
Revisado: 06-03-15
Overall I really enjoyed this book. Sometimes I feel like the narrator, also the author, didn't even try to learn how to pronounce the Korean he used before speaking it. Hence the slightly lower performance rating.
As I listened to the story, I often found that my allergies were acting up because my eyes would water. In all reality, this book gives an amazing and great breaking look into a NK Political prisoners life from birth to after defection.
