What disappointed you about Natural Law?

The fact that more than half the story is about BDSM how to's and why for's (and confusing humiliation with love IMHO) instead of the erotic suspense story I thought I was getting.

What could Joey W. Hill have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Make it a really good romantic erotic murder suspense instead of a BDSM Manual.

Which character – as performed by Maxine Mitchell – was your favorite?

I liked the women's voices but no one in particular. Mac sounded more like a 19 yr old than a 40 something hardened Detective.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Sorry, no.

Any additional comments?

In all honesty I did learn some things. Granted some I'd rather not know but I did listen to the whole book in hopes there would be something to redeem it for me. Don't waste your time.

What a Journey, thanks for the ride!

Shadowfever (SF) was a very satisfying ending to a very dense richness of creativity that is the mind of Karen Marie Moning. The Fever series gives us a wonderful edge of your seat ride. It was definitely worth waiting the extra month for SF to be published. It has everything you could want, LIFE; living it, learning from it, surviving it. LOVE; well Love what do you say about love? It???s tough, it hurts, it manifests hope, it makes us deliriously happy and it takes a whopping measure of faith and vulnerability. FEAR; facing it, overcoming it, learning to deal and possibly riding it, e.g. "Hunters". Mystery, Fae & Faery, Humor, Death, Adventure, Sex and men to die for (between Ms. Moning's writing and Phil Gigante's voicing...sigh), Horror, Blood and oozing bits and many just plain weird characters. :) I loved it all. It was also great to see the Highlanders help wrap this up. Gotta love all that growling Druid testosterone. Sometimes I wanted to smack Mac as well as Barron???s for being so stubborn but truly it is just that I selfishly wanted to figure out what all the answers were right now and if they???d just have talked to each other I could have had my way but the story would never have been the same and it did create a nice heated tension between the two of them. Also, !SPOILER ALERT! I was sad to see V'lane disappear, I mean really, he was such a lovable nut! I give this series a big TEN! Definitely start with book one and stick with it all the way to the end...no peeking! OH and I simply cannot leave out Natalie Ross, she is Mac and her portrayal of Fiona, well, I get the shivers just thinking about it. Karen, Natalie and Phil, your talents are remarkable, thanks again for sharing.

Silly and Fun Read

Jennifer Crusie has the quirkiest way of writing that is hard to draw a bead on but always likable. This was sweet, cute, silly and a lot of fun. My favorite book of hers thus far is Welcome to Temptation and where I like some of her stories more than others you can't go wrong with a Crusie book. If you just want some lovely entertainment this is the one for you!

A superb read & best by far in the series.

Where I have always loved this series I believe this to be the best by far. I found it very intriguing, exciting and absolutely moving as well as teaching me more about the American Revolution. DG always leaves us hanging but this one more so than any other. I admittedly have never been over fond of Brianna nor Lord John Grey but both grew in my esteem even though I think Bri still needs a good smack and to be a bit more kind and loving to Roger. (Can we say obsessed fan?) I am still unsure as to how I feel about Lord Grey and Claire. On one hand he was very chivalrous to marry her even though it was more for Jaime than Claire and I can even see them turning to each other for comfort...the once...but no more; so as stated I still wrestle with how I feel about that situation. I think the only disappointment for me was for Young Ian and the fact that there is not more of Jaime but it won't stop me from re-reading the entire series AGAIN nor from waiting with much antsy anticipation for the next but hopefully not last in the series.
As always Davina Porter did her usual excellent work, and thank goodness they have stayed with her as narrator and DG simply outdid herself. Thank you Diana and here's to America and her Freedoms!

Sequel to Welcome To Temptation

Revisado: 09-19-09

I LOVED Welcome To Temptation and have listened to it numerous times so had high hopes for Faking It but it disappointed me in that the narrator doesn't make any of the characters from WTT that appear in this book sound anything like they did originally so it was like they had never existed. I had very high expectations which is my own fault but it really made a big difference to me, otherwise it's JC's usual zany and kooky characters but I really wanted Davy to sound like the Davy I knew from WTT.

Great Ride KMM, Phil & Natalie!

Total
5 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 09-19-09

DreamFever is the best by far although all 4 are fantastic reads. I've already listened to it twice and have the book to read when I go places I have to wait around in. You really do need to read/listen the first 3 in order (DarkFever, BloodFever, FaeFever) or this won't make sense to you because there is so much wonder in the clues and detail.
KMM knows how to keep you guessing and the angst her fans are going thru is high waiting on ShadowFever which will complete this particular series. You should join her Moning Maniacs at www.karenmariemoning.com where you can fuss and laugh and have fun speculating on whats what. (She originally won me over with her Highlander series.)
Eargasmic Phil and Ms. Ross did a fantastic job and I thank KMM for listening to her fans and changing readers with NO disrespect meant AT ALL to Ms. Bean. Phil Gigantic was meant to voice ALL KMM's male characters. Sigh. He could read me the phone book and I would be pleased beyond all reason. Read ~ Listen ~ Enjoy!!

Absolutely a Pleasure!

Total
5 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 04-23-09

I read this book a couple years ago and really got into the characters, story and all the nuances of the hurts, pains, pleasure, passion and more. When I saw that Ms. Carrington MacDuffie was the narrator I knew I had to listen to it and I was well rewarded! I have recently discovered Ms. MacDuffie and find that she knows when something should be "dry", "whispered" or otherwise instead of just reading like an automaton therefore doing very well by the characters and their story; unlike some other narrations. I hope Ms. Kenyon is as pleased with her narration of Night Pleasures as I am. Ms. Kenyon has such savvy and wit in her writings and to have it live on in the narration is a true and simple pleasure to enjoy. I was so sorry to have it end. I only wish Ms. MacDuffie would have read Fantasy Lover also by Ms. Kenyon. That would have been a true treat with all its warmth and humor. I truly hope you find the enjoyment of this audible.com book as I have.

This is the 2nd in a trilogy by Cherry Adair. This is even better than Night Fall, #1 in the trilogy. Read by Ms. Carrington MacDuffie makes it very much worth the buy. I am now off to read #3 Night Shadow; hope it is as yummy! Audible, Please bring on more Cherry Adair.

Story & Narrator ~ A Perfect Duo!

Total
5 out of 5 stars

Revisado: 04-14-09

I love Cherry Adair's books and Ms. Carrington MacDuffie hits it just right with inflection, mood, and accents. This is a good read as well as a terrific listen: a little magic, adventure, bio-warfare, alpha male, and romance all in one. I could use just a teeny bit less feisty female in some stories but somehow Ms. Adair always seems to hit the right mark. Try it you'll like it!
