Consistency of Characters. Well read.

I like from book to book the narrator was consistent with characters and the author choose to stick with the same narrator. It made listening a pleasure.

I really miss the narration of George Guidall. His characters were spot on. The new narrator does a fine job, it was just hard to get used to.

Story was just ok. Good plot, but lacked some of the more intense moments I was used to with a Mitch book.

Ray always delivers. Story… not so much

Decent story line. Not my favorite.

My big take away is the poor recoding quality of the book. It’s like Scott was recording on an over compressed and equalized $5 microphone. I am actually embarrassed for him by this quality.

It takes a few hours for those who would notice to get used to the terrible audio and be able to focus on the story.

What kind of disjointed nonsense is this?

This book is so bad.

Baldacci takes you through a random series of murders and nonsense which in the end is completed unrelated to the primary plot of the story.

In the end, there is no resolution to the primary financial plot.

Solving the murders is just a big rambling river of wasted time with NO CLUE in the book to help the listener solve the murder.

I don’t think I have been so dissatisfied in a book in a very long time.

What an absolute waste of digital audio.

Bosch Novel? BARELY.

Production was mediocre. You can tell neither of the actors were ever in the same location . The dialogue between them is very disjointed.

As for a Harry Bosch Novel? You can BARELY call it that. Harry Bosch cameo appearance at best.

Worst Bosch book to date.

Not the best. Rushed ending.

I always look forward to these books. This book felt thin. The plot line wasn’t well developed, the ending was rushed. There were good moments but overall it wasn’t one of the best pieces of work for the Scott Harvath series. It wasn’t bad enough to make me not want to listen to the next one. I’m just hoping for more of the original action and Scott Harvath story next time.

Lame ending. Boring.

Got into the series for John Puller. He is an afterthought in this book. Very disappointing, it’s at this point I feel comfortable jumping out of any future Puller books. This one is just lame.

Poor ending... build it up to a let down

The book had interesting topics and concepts but if felt like the author just wanted to make the book go away in the end. a 2 hour build up to a battle... all of the sudden, books over. lame.
