Historia
Meredith and Nina Whitson are as different as sisters can be. One stayed at home to raise her children and manage the family apple orchard; the other followed a dream and traveled the world to become a famous photojournalist. But when their beloved father falls ill, Meredith and Nina find themselves together again, standing alongside their cold, disapproving mother, Anya, who even now, offers no comfort to her daughters.

A beautifully written follow up
Revisado: 03-08-22
From the beginning, this beautiful story took me back to Firefly Lane, to the two girls who captured my heart, reminding me of my own childhood best friend. Keep a box of tissues ready, and go back to TullyandKate with Kristin Hannah!

In the turbulent summer of 1974, Kate Mularkey has accepted her place at the bottom of the eighth-grade social food chain. Then, to her amazement, the "coolest girl in the world" moves in across the street and wants to be her friend. Tully Hart seems to have it all - beauty, brains, ambition. Wonderful!
Revisado: 03-04-21
What a beautiful story of friendship, the kind of story that makes you yearn for your childhood friend. You know the one! The one that you shared your darkest secrets with. This book had me reaching for the tissue box, from heart wrenching moments to the full on laugh til you cry moments!
This is the kind of book that I will listen to again and again!
My only negative response, the author screwed the pooch when she allowed this beautiful story to be poached with the horrific film version. SHAME ON HER.

This transcendent story follows four college friends who move to New York City, buoyed by ambition: Willem, an aspiring actor; JB, an artist; Malcolm, an architect; and, at the center, Jude, a withdrawn, brilliant attorney haunted by an unspeakable past. Through decades of shared and separate lives, Jude’s suffering - and its impact on those who love him - raises questions about the limits of human endurance, the possibility for redemption, and the meaning of friendship.

Heartbreakingly beautiful
Revisado: 01-24-20
I was captured in a heartbeat. The stories, so well written, of each person. I laughed out loud, I aches for hurts, I aches for a broken past of each person. I had to stop reading because of the tears flowing so heavily... but I was back to the story before my eyes were dried.
This is the most compelling story of 4 young men, growing into adulthood. A story of the past, and how it shapes your future, even when you hate how it shapes you.
It tells the story of friendships, the highs and lows, how they grow with us, how they shape us, how very important they are to us.
I wish for a hundred books as compelling as this one!

For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

I couldn’t get enough of this amazingly written tale of the Marsh Girl! Not your typical book where you can predict what will happen next. I found myself cheering her on, crying for her and crying with her. I love a book that makes you feel a variety of emotions!
