I love reading harmon books but this one was definitely not one i like. It was way to out there and the ending was definitely lacking. To much into the mind trip for my likings. This book was not were i parked my car.

Epic Showdown

Was pumped for the big showdown with Aegis and the evil supers and can't wait for his path to finally collide with Tango(Grayson). Not sure how the author will top the action in this book in the finale but can't wait to see how it plays out. The only thing I was thrown off by was why noone is investigating the OSA and their attempts to cover up and commit genocide against super humans, Quinn totally buried that info and ran off...maybe book 5 will address this?

Looking forward to more

Great story and character development. Hope the main character continues to use his summons in creative ways. Still a bit surprised he doesn't go nuts like a game of Pokemon and try to catch every monster he fights. Was actually a bit crestfallen when he didn't grab that gigantic Jellyfish of doom but I'm sure he has plenty yet to catch. I look forward to reading many more.

Funny story lots of action

The story was great and had good character building though the names were hard to sort for most of the series except for the main protagonist family but got used to it by the end of book 2. There was quite a bit of liberal bashing but no worse than watching an episode of 'Last man Standing'. Anyway liked the realistic danger and drama and the constant action made it hard to put down. Would definitely recomend.

First time reader, impressed

First book from this author I've read and I am very much looking forward to tearing through the next installments in the series. Sounds like it's a spin off trilogy so can't wait to listen to the origin series too. Keep em' coming. There were quite a few characters so it was a bit tough to keep them all sorted at first but they were all interesting and worth cheering for and the antagonist made me want to throttle him throughout. I like the constant danger as the author was not shy about murdering off likable characters and how viscous the undead were. I hope they explore the world a bit more in the next book though.

The story was okay

Overall I enjoyed the flow of the story but the constant whining of the characters about their feelings and then the ego stroking of the ladies towards the protagonist kept sidetracking things became annoying. Hopefully book 3 is more centered around the plot, I have some hope in that his harem seems to be oversized as it is.

Great voice acting but not my cup of tea

The premise seemed interesting but flimsy. The idea of women only having magic and using it to maintain a matriarchy seemed plausible but in a world with firearms I found it very implausible that the women could remain in power when they acted as viscous as they did without massive civil unrest. I just kept waiting for him to send his ladies in to tear apart everyone. Anyone with stealth magic could assassinate the leadership easily.

Fun Story

Well written with some fun twists. The characters were well written and the protagonist made the bard class and gameplay sound exciting. Look forward to more.
