Very Cerebral

Like sitting through a very long lecture on a subject I care nothing about. INTEREST ME! Tell me a little about the science of the sun and then TELL ME A STORY! The writer should’ve written a non-fiction about the sun and marketed it that way. I haven’t returned it yet because I’m only in Chpt 16 and still waiting for the story to begin.

I would say more but I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings. Pretty sure it’s too late to give it back and get a refund.
Day2. I’m still listening... hoping it will get better. It isn’t. Is it supposed to be like a female John wells? The narrator is definitely not helping. Fastforwarded thru part 2 “history of Rebecca”. It isn’t just the narrator. This is bad writing; bad story. I hate it. Alex please write something. Anything. I miss you. Ok, chapt. 19 is as far as I can get. I can’t. Gonna try for a refund.

Pretty Good!

I’ll tell you what, I bought another of the series. Made sure the narrator was the same. It was pretty good. I don’t like writing reviews. It was pretty good. Oh! There are no swear words! I find that skilled writers don’t need them.

Wow! THAT was a good book!

Too much cursing. Like...an unnecessary amount. The plot was good though. A little too much info. on almost every single character too but a good plot. This is my 2nd time listening to this one. THANK YOU GEORGE GUIDALL! YOU ARE THEE ABSOLUTE BEST!

Shocked and Disappointed at How Boring It Is

I knew from Joel’s two books that David DeVries and Adam Gruper we’re not what I consider good narrators, though Gruper is much better than DeVries. So, I decided to read the actual book instead of the audio but I couldn’t read it! No time. So I broke down and bought the audible and after trying to read and listen to this and the two before...no, three! I endeavored to get through the Hostage series with the reporter “A B Collins” several times! And the Kremlin Conspiracy which was a liiiitle more interesting than this. I’ve decided that though the horrible narrators don’t help, it’s also the story. Everything after the Imam series, has been BORING (except the Auschwitz Escape) and I think I’m done waisting my money on Joel. Can’t do it anymore.

Boring. Flat.

Kept waiting for the story to begin. Then, in chapter 11 or 12, the author reveals the bad guy and his (their) plan is unveiled in ...like...comic book style, with the head bad guy telling us his full plan. All that was missing was an evil laugh and a vow to his minions that "They'll never stop us!" Yeah...I couldn't continue after that. It just wasn't well written. It was like something you'd find in a grade school library (minus the swear words, of course). Christopher Lane is wonderful, though. Gonna try to get my money back.
