Historia
It's been a year since Eragon departed Alagaësia in search of the perfect home to train a new generation of Dragon Riders. Now, he is struggling with an endless sea of tasks: constructing a vast dragonhold, wrangling with suppliers, guarding dragon eggs, and dealing with belligerent Urgals and haughty elves. Then a vision from the Eldunarí, unexpected visitors, and an exciting Urgal legend offer a much-needed distraction and a new perspective. This volume features three original stories set in Alagaësia, interspersed with scenes from Eragon's own unfolding adventure.

Not my favorite version of the Inheritance Cycle. Bring back Arya, and let Eragon be happy!
Revisado: 12-09-23
The worm story was boring and a little off-putting. Not the best work I've seen from Christopher.

Sooooo much of this book is relevant right now!
Revisado: 03-09-23
I am blown away by the accuracy of these prophecies! As I listened, Dolores ponders if things that were happening in the 80’s and 90’s were what Nostradamus was talking about, but listening to this in 2023 I am able to make connections with history that has occurred even beyond Dolores’s passing. Simply amazing! Only downside for me was the male narrator - I didn’t personally care for his characterizations - for me he sounded too angry and pompous. But that could just be me…. The info in the book, however, is just incredible. I have also read Dolores’s Jesus and The Essens, They Walked with Jesus, and the first book of The Three Waves of Volunteers, which was also absolutely incredibly accurate to the current timeframe.

Good beginner book
Revisado: 07-27-22
Gives both theory explanation as well as some short, exemplary meditation to get you started with a wide range of modalities from clairvoyance to telepathy and even astral traveling. It is meant as a beginners guide, and stresses the importance of regular practice with basic meditation and managing expectations - that it will most likely take time to develop your meditation skills and any potential ESPs - and not to get discouraged, just practice, practice, practice. There are some simple visualization techniques presented that even a newbie like me can easily undertake and comprehend. I do recommend this book for anyone interested in learning about the chakras, the third eye, and meditation.

Very good!
Revisado: 08-04-21
This is the 3rd Eva Ashwood trilogy I have listened to, and is by far my favorite. Great story, unpredictable plot (except maybe for Wes), lots of action in the story, and a happy ending. My only criticism is that Eva seems to always write about 3 guys and one girl and inevitably, the sex scenes are all the same - some one on one with each male character and escalating orgy activity amongst all 4 characters. It would be nice if she changed up the number of males, and maybe added a little drama by having one of them also have possible feelings for someone else outside of the harem. But, overall, one of the best I’ve read/listened to from this author, and if there was no “romance”, this story would have done very well in the fantasy genre on its own.

But it was Richard who converted Nicci instead, and for years thereafter she served Richard and Kahlan as one of their closest friends—and one of their most lethal defenders. Now, with the reign of Richard and Kahlan finally stabilized, Nicci has set out on her own for new adventures.

Annoying narrator; story ok but all over the place.
Revisado: 10-25-20
The narrator was annoying. She sounds too superior and at times, whiney, for each/all of the characters. That kind of ruined the story for me.
The story itself was OK, but there were so many different things going on that it got annoying after a while.

The narrator put me to sleep.
Revisado: 10-15-20
Good story, but the narrator was too monotonous sounding and put me to sleep nearly every time I listened. It made me not want to like the book, and took forever to get through because I kept having to go back and relisten to parts that I zoned out during.

Better than the last narrator, but...
Revisado: 06-12-20
This narrator is better than the last one, but it annoys me that he mispronounces Kahlan's name, and he gives almost an Irish accent to some characters and his underlying accent is that of a Bostonian, which is kind of annoying.

Revisado: 05-28-20
The story is very good even though the narration was one of the worst I’ve ever heard. Please, dear lord above, I hope they change narrators for the next book or else I’m going to just read it outright. I cannot listen to another book with this narrator.

Narrator is terrible, story is so so, performance is bad
Revisado: 04-20-20
The narrator is terrible. Almost made me hate the book (series), but luckily for the author, the story is interesting. However, the speech of the characters is too formal and awkward. People don't speak to one another like that, at least not Nora. One could make a case for the eldest of the characters, bit Nora is supposed to be a teenage girl. Teenagers do not speak in that way. Also, the constant repeating of what one character says then phrased as a question by another character gets really annoying after a while. Every statement turns into a clarifying question. Also, there is not enough character development of Nora herself or between her and Hunter. Moreover, the fact that Nora barely even touches on the loss of her life and family is not very believable. Nor is there any anger towards Hunter for doing something forbidden that put her life in danger to begin with. Most of the story development is poor. It kind of feels all over the place. I'm on the third book and only keep listening because I'm in Quentin's and literally have nothing else to do with my time. But I'm bored out of my mind and annoyed by the narration. The narrator makes the characters sound whiney and stuttering idiots. She truly does a disservice to the story. The narrator totally does not understand the characters or their motivations and cannot properly convey their personalities or their moods/intentions appropriately. They end up sounding sniveling and weak. And why the narrator strangers all the characters' lines all the time I do not understand. This narrator needs a class in characterization. She uses about 3 different voice types only: uncertain, annoying, and old (sounding).

Skips around a lot
Revisado: 12-12-19
The book has a good premise but it skips around too much between characters and past/present so that it is difficult to keep up with what is going on in the book. That kind of made me lose interest. Then the end comes and I was left asking myself why I wasted my time on the story in the first place. Rather blah and unremarkable overall.
