Historia
Over 13 months in 1976-1977, four children were abducted in the Detroit suburbs, each of them held for days before their still-warm bodies were dumped in the snow near public roadsides. The Oakland County Child Murders spawned panic across southeast Michigan, triggering the most extensive manhunt in US history. Yet after less than two years, the task force created to find the killer was shut down without naming a suspect.

Really interesting
Revisado: 09-17-21
I was hooked from start to finish, the narrator did an awesome job and kept me engaged, I do agree you had to keep up with the switching between many characters points of view and that meant switching back and forth between different time lines. But I managed to keep up and was glad I did.. I can say that after listening this book I found myself having a long talk with my boys about the dangers of strangers and walking alone.

Great story
Revisado: 09-17-21
I really enjoyed this book, short and full of twist and turns, Its really great to have someone in your corner, a stranger at that, who helps you see through the curtains covering your eyes, because no one really expects the one they love to hurt them...

Historia
Two years ago, Dr. Gina Brady broke Thomas Prescott’s heart, but now her panic-stricken satellite phone call starts it beating again with a fury. Thugs kidnapped the good doctor from the remote jungle village where she was working, and now the retired homicide detective’s expert skills are desperately needed to save her. Led by a colorful, but perhaps untrustworthy local guide, Prescott journeys deep into the Bolivian Amazon, plunging into a world where the only thing more dangerous than the gun-toting drug traffickers and the ruthless tribesmen, is the jungle itself.

Really good!
Revisado: 06-28-21
This was a really good read for me, and the narrator did a great job. Lawyer Todd Rabinowitz died in the lake at the back of his house in the middle of the night. Oh, but it was not a simple death by drowning. He was tied to his dock with fishing line ran through his jaw. PI Nils Shapiro is hired by the widow to figure out who killed him. There are several suspects: 1) the widow Robin, who says they were close to divorcing, 2) the artist boyfriend who creates metal sculpture, 3) Todd's law firm partners because Robin suspects her husband discovered something bad going on. Nils and his partners in the PI firm comes up with all kinds of schemes to track down the killer.

Historia
Every object has a ghost. There is a small yellow backpack - half unzipped, mouth yawning to the pavement, contents strewn around it (a banana, an exercise book, a pair of scissors) - abandoned on a suburban footpath. Ten feet away, the rubber stamp of tyres, resisting clamped brakes, mount the curb and cut across the path. The tracks come to an end at a crippled stop sign. The street, a tree-lined suburban road dappled in late-afternoon sunlight, is calm. But anyone walking past can feel the ghosts: the prickle on the back of their necks that tells them something happened here.

love this series but?
Revisado: 05-03-21
This is the forth book in the series Cavendish and Walker, and my least favorite so far. The ending was weak and too abrupt, the first suspect was the perp and confessed right away. However, it didn't take away from me enjoying Whitney and George as they go about solving this case. the narrator Clare Corbett was amazing as always!

Instead, I go home and cook a healthy dinner for our children, walk the dog, and unload the dishwasher without complaint. I need this marriage to work to protect a terrible secret of my own....

It was okay
Revisado: 04-28-21
Let me start by saying I really love this author and have listened to many of her books and she is fantastic! however, this one had me struggling to finish it, I gave up about five times, but I kept remembering the reviews that I read, that said it had a great ending and so I stuck it out.
It had me so frustrated with the main character, everything she was doing is opposite of what a sane person would do. She had so much going on, that I started thinking she must have split personality. The ending wasn't bad, but I was expecting more.
