Historia
Gilde has spent her life isolated in the wild marshlands, a place too wet for the dragon to go. She’s safe there, according to her father. So why is he asking her to leave with him now that she has come of age? There is more to Gilde’s family than she knows, and debts need to be paid. Betrayed and shattered, she wakes in a crumbling mountain castle with the beast of her nightmares. Except this dragon speaks like a man and reads books. His kindness confuses her and opens a forgotten longing in her heart, all while Gilde plans her escape from a mountain full of secrets.

One of the BEST BOOKS I've EVER Read!!!
Revisado: 03-27-25
What is there to dislike about this book? From the very beginning, the writing and the narrator's performance drew me in, and I never wanted to stop reading. I honestly think I may have read this all in one sitting if I could have. The story was amazing, twisting in ways that surprised me. The analogy it provides about sin nature, struggling with sin, and how one is freed from it was sooooo cool! The characters were so well done, all different and all believable and intriguing. And the romance, oh my word, it was so perfect and sweet! I was also very impressed with the narrator, her ability to portray each of individual's voices so well that I knew who was speaking before it actually said, and on top of that, The emotional weight of her performance was really phenomenal. What else can I say, I LOVED this book! This is the kind of writing and stories we need more of in the world.

Historia
Her name is H8626-E. On the outside, she lives the normal life of any functioning robot. But on the inside? Well, that's a completely different story. She is a master of hiding, a master of masks. She masks her inability to follow the Three Decrees. She masks her faulty programming from all the other robots. She hides her emotions, errors, and opinions from The Authority. And most of all, though she doesn’t know it, she is hidden from herself. But more difficult than any of the plethora of masks she maintains is that she is completely and utterly alone.

Intriguing story concept, very deep, reflective thoughts, and a very tense, exciting ending! A blend of science fiction mixed with Christian themes.

Wonderful story, wonderful narrator! The author really did her research with all the science fiction elements that were in this book. sci-fi, murder mystery, sabotage, and a romance, could it get any better?!

Possibly the BEST SERIES I've EVER READ!!!!
Revisado: 11-29-23
I LOVED this sooo much! Not only was the story gripping and intriguing, but this is also the best narrator I have EVER heard on all the Audible books I've listened to! She does all the voices so well and so varied, I could always tell which character was talking. The idea of blood voices is so cool and done in such a unique way. I loved how the two main characters used blood voices as secret playful banter. I appreciate it that, unlike some other books the end almost immediately after the climax , this series took a little more time to go into life after the climax, truly wrapping everything up. Not to mention the moral lessons the characters learn throughout this series are wonderful! I also loved that, if you take the time to notice, a lot of the names, places and words in this book and the whole series are actually Hebrew. this whole series had me on the edge of my seat rooting for the characters, so invested I was yelling at them through the pages to stop this, or to do that, I even cried during the last two scenes of the series. I am astounded that this is the first book the author ever published.
