Enter the nostalgia-laced world of CAMP 1985, a bogus new summer program where parents send their social-media-addicted teens to unplug and make face-to-face connections without the help of a screen. Ander expects a fun weekend getaway with other influencers but instead finds himself trapped in a radical landscape without wifi. Just when Ander gives in to camp life and starts crushing on a cute gamer boy, a little fun with a spirit board unleashes a vengeful spirit of a bygone era.

It started off good but it stalled a bit in the middle, the narration was good and helped the story’s pace a lot.

Historia
When I step into the elevator that sweltering morning, I barely notice the woman standing next to me. She seems out of place, with her floaty linen clothes in a building full of suits. But that’s none of my business. A minute later, there’s a sudden jerk. The elevator stops. The lights go out.

More of a drama thriller
Revisado: 07-22-24
There really wasn’t a mystery per se, the connections between the two women on the elevator was pretty obvious since the beginning and the only few thrilling parts were the elevator passages.

I will be reading and listening to Sue Watson’s backlist now! I absolutely love this narrator, so almost anything narrated by her trust I’ll listen to it. I also have had my eye on Watson’s books for a while so all in all, this was a winner!

But when a young woman is found dead in the nicest part of town, the powerful neighbors close ranks to keep their families safe. In this searing novel, Eden Perry’s death kicks off an investigation into the three teenagers who were partying with her that night, each a suspect. Hannah, a sweet girl with an unstable history. CAMPY
Revisado: 12-13-23
Andrew Eiden is a delight! Huge portion of the book are “romance” scenes but kinda necessary I guess for further plot development but Jeneva Rose’s writing doesn’t let you go bored and the narrators make such a good job with the material.
The key to this book is know what NOT TO EXPECT.

Historia
Buckhead isn’t a place you live, it’s a place you survive. And that applies even to the wealthy housewives that have it all. Fancy cars, designer clothes, and daily salon appointments aren’t nearly enough to keep them fulfilled and happy. Because in this town, privilege and opulence go hand in hand with betrayal and revenge. Jenny, the owner of Glow, an exclusive membership-only beauty salon, knows that better than anyone, because she knows everything about these housewives—down to each individual strand of hair.

Historia
Is there something wrong with Ginette Cox? It’s what everyone seems to think. When a doctor suggests that what she might need is less excitement, she packs up and moves from New York City to a house in suburban NY: 19 Howard Ave. The town offers Ginette little in the way of entertainment in 1959, but at least she has interesting neighbors. Whether it’s the little girl with her doll or the couple and their mother-in-law, Ginette watches them from her window and makes up names and stories for them.

Historia
When Ashen heads east to New York City to find Finn's brother, she finds herself confronted by an entirely new set of problems. The city is a war zone overshadowed by the Behemoth, the largest arcology in existence. Few are allowed entry and those who go in never leave. She soon discovers that the power in New York is held entirely by one young man. Known only as the Bishop, he's mysterious, unnervingly handsome, and smooth-voiced. His allure is undeniable, despite his tendency toward cruelty. Who is the Bishop really? What exactly goes on inside the Behemoth?

Better
Revisado: 02-12-23
This was a better book than the second and third to be honest, the twists were well done and very pleasant to see, the world building was also better done. Lack of plausibility is still rampant but this is ya dystopia we are talking about, I also don’t like that all the books are ending the same way so the cliff-hanger effect they are going for is not giving anymore.
