Historia
Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

So glad I decided to read this
Revisado: 08-21-24
So glad I decided to read this book. I don’t know why I waited so long. But I never really read it as a kid but I’m so glad that I had picked it up as an adult. Harry Potter definitely reminds me a lot of my best friend growing up and Ron Weasley reminds me of myself because, he kind of mentors and I kind of mentored my friend through elementary school. Excited to Start the second book.

With the Chamber of Eternity secure, Otto must now recover the second piece of the Immortality Engine. But that task will be far from easy. For the second piece, The Heart of Alchemy, lies far to the east in the fabled Celestial Empire. Assassins, undead, monstrous beasts, and demon worshippers all stand between Otto and his prize. And even more daunting, Valtan, the last living arcane lord, is determined to stop him. The cost be damned. Can Otto overcome the forces arrayed against him and take the next step down the road to immortality?

Historia
Daisy is a girl coming of age in LA in the late '60s, sneaking into clubs on the Sunset Strip, sleeping with rock stars, and dreaming of singing at the Whisky a Go Go. The sex and drugs are thrilling, but it’s the rock and roll she loves most. By the time she’s 20, her voice is getting noticed, and she has the kind of heedless beauty that makes people do crazy things. Also getting noticed is The Six, a band led by the brooding Billy Dunne.

Historia
Every expectant parent will tell you that they don't want a perfect baby, just a healthy one. Charlotte and Sean O'Keefe would have asked for a healthy baby, too, if they'd been given the choice. Instead their lives are made up of sleepless nights, mounting bills, the pitying stares of "luckier" parents, and, maybe worst of all, the what-ifs.

One of her best
Revisado: 02-13-23
One of her best. I have read a couple of books by this particular author, I was laughing, crying, this book really really was a tearjerker, and even after reading this book, I am still crying. I think the last book that that happened to me, was the fault in our stars Along time ago. Thank you for writing such an awesome book. Also, I didn’t know anything about this condition, it was really sad to know that there are people out there who suffer from this out there I myself have a disability, and I knew what she must have been feeling. Although, I loved how every character got to tell their own story through their own chapter. That’s the one thing I like about this author as well. Is other books by her do the same thing where the characters get to tell their story from their perspective. I like to get a glimpse into what the mother thought and the father and the sister and Willow. All of the narrators did an amazing job with each of their characters that they portrayed.

Now Georgia's a teenager, though, and there's one thing Claire can't advise her on: dating.

Really good story but quite repetitive
Revisado: 02-05-23
Really liked the storyline. Really disliked how the author kept repetitively mentioning the fact that the main character Claire could not move on from her husband, who tragically passed away. I wish that the book would’ve been a little bit less repetitive, and that Claire would just have got the strength to go out with people and live her life after her husband‘s accident. I can understand a little bit in the beginning of the book maybe for a couple of chapters, but not the entire thing. I liked how it ended and how she ended up with Nate, but I think it could’ve been a little bit more structured in the fact that Claire could have gotten over her husband passing a little bit sooner than she did. I did like the storyline, though, and dating in the dark. I wish that that was actually a real thing. It sounds really awesome. But I would recommend this book to anyone who likes romance novels and books like these. However, again, it is quite repetitive, also the narrator was great. She really got me into the story, it really made me feel as though I was there and experienced all of the things that all of the characters had experience. Really enjoyed the narrator of this book.

Historia
A riveting and though-provoking read, perfect for fans of Liane Moriarty, Kerry Lonsdale and Carolyn Brown, from the best-selling author of The Missing Wife. What do you do when the man in your life lets you down? Show him the door? Chuck his clothes out of the window? Cut the crotch from his trousers? If only it was that easy - especially when you've got an eight-year-old daughter to think about and a part-time job that barely pays the milk bill.

Very interesting read. Loved learning about Egyptology
Revisado: 12-12-22
The story was great! I love learning about Egyptology. My best friend actually recommended this book to me. While it wasn’t really something I would’ve picked up, I’m so glad that I did! I learned so much. The reader of the book was amazing. She described in detail everything and also I loved her all the characters had different expressions as well so that I could really get into the story. Loved this book and I would highly recommend it
