Another work that proves, outside of the original trilogy, the best essence of Star Wars storytelling, character development, and downright better plot, can be found in print. The new "Marvel" model of bringing the old band together for what seems like one last hurray to be repeated tirelessly that Star Wars has migrated to on the big and small screens is absent in "The Mask of Fear". Instead, Freed does a MASTERFUL job of taking characters and outcomes we know the resolution to from other works, and leaving the reader in doubt of how it will ever work out. Brilliant, and highly recommend!!

Zahn does it again!

Zahn is a masterful storyteller, and has been able to capture the very essence of the Star Wars universe time and again. Thrawn is my favorite Star Wars character and the insights into where the future Grand Admiral came from were amazing. Marc Thompson is the best narrator, and really brings the characters alive.

Genuine as is gets!

Already loved Bert for his standup, but this book takes it to the next level. What makes this great is how genuine Bert is about everything, his feelings, thoughts, and even using everyone's real names (wonder what they thought of that). Highly reccomend, not only if you are looking for a good laugh, but also to learn some real lessons about life while laughing along.
