Daunting quantity of information!

The contents of the book is first rate. It deals with a really important subject even today, in a balanced fashion. The reader is not familiar with Arabic, which leads to a few miss pronunciations.
I really recommend this book to anyone interested in the Middle East or its culture.

The emphasis is on pronunciation and comprehension and on learning to speak Modern Standard Arabic.

Great for pronunciation and grammar drill. As usual with Pimsleur it lacks vocabulary, you are still a beginner after this course (even after all 30 lessons), but you are a very confident beginner.
