Stupid beauty and the beast plot. with the narrative banality of a cheap paperback erotica. Cannot hate this book enough. I wanted to listen to it because of how many people I saw, reading it, and now I think less of every single person I’ve ever seen more than halfway through this book. Just complete trash.

Hard to write about alien contact without being weird, but this book kind of pushes it. I enjoyed The Martian for its real life application of scientific concepts and its comedic nerdiness. This one doesn’t strike that balance as well.

This author tried to write the LGBTQ story but really the community deserves a better novel than this drivel. Predictable and uninspired.

Superficial garbage characters involved in a plot neither interesting nor entertaining. Hated this whole story. Medically it was factually deficient while trying to appear genuine. Pandered heavily off the emotions of the pandemic which is annoying if not morally wrong. Save your time and listen to anything else.

Agatha Christie never disappoints. The performance was mildly marred by the accents employed, but they did help clarify who is speaking in any point.

The multiple narrators made this more interesting, but even their performance could not make up for the lack of substance to this story. This author is well known for her character development and this book is no exception, but character development makes for boring audiobooks.

Mildly interesting but too brief to be informative. The bulk of this production deals with an ancient papyrus about which a 30-minute presentation could have been appropriate. also, it's difficult to listen to a book about mathematics without visualizing the numbers on a page.

Perfect book for all of us "not racists"

As a white guy who really hates talking about race and is not at all interested in the subject, this book was a turning point in my life. Calm and measured destruction of the concept that anyone can be truly "not racist." By using his own racism as an example rather than denouncing others, the author invites the reader to reflect on their own racist views and the damage they cause. unfortunately, the staccato broken narration was the worst narration I've ever had to listen to, but the content makes up for the presentation.

This book is a collection of repetitive monologues preaching Rand's objectivism. She doesn't go more than 15min between these speeches and it gets tiring within the first hour or two. Seriously, I could have just read the first couple chapters and not missed a thing. Also contains weirdly BDSM type sex scenes. Ayn Rand is an objectively terrible person (read up on her) and all her vile spills out in this book... save your time and read something better

interesting perspective on the Dunkirk evac from the point of view of a child at the homefront. Dives into enough of the details of the battles to convey the nightmares the BEF endured
