Does this mean you should go and live a solitary life in the hills, away from people and the BS that comes with them? No. There is a better way. Eye-opening and highly recommended!
Revisado: 01-24-23
This book redefined social anxiety for me. My first thought was, "I love people! I don't have social anxiety!" In a no-nonsense manner, the author got right to the point as to where I was struggling and offered practical suggestions for turning things around. At first, I thought the author's accent would put me off, but it was quite charming. I listened to the whole book straight through. Will be listening a second time, slower, with notebook in hand to take down all the information! Highly recommend for people struggling with people pleasing and setting healthy boundaries. There are a few swear words here and there, but nothing that is off-putting.

Very useful and validating
Revisado: 03-24-22
This was a very useful and validating book. Ms. Dyer explains why empaths are the way we are, and teaches us how to embrace our gifts rather than run from them. The only complaint I have is I couldn’t just listen in the car — there were so many practical suggestions given that I needed to go back and listen again with notebook and pen in hand to capture them all.
