I think I would have preferred a different narrator. Mr. Dugoni needs to stick with writing.

Good story
Revisado: 07-12-23
This turned out to be a better story than I first thought. I usually have trouble with British narrators but this narrator was very good. The one problem I had was when there was a two way communication a tunnel effect was used where I had to turn up the volume to be able to hear the other person, then when the conversation was over I had to turn the volume back down as it was too loud.

Crime story with saccharine

Ok story, interesting concept. narrator could be monotone at times but otherwise ok. almost too much "let's make everyone feel better" moments.

But when the mission results in spectacular failure, the finger-pointing goes all the way to the top. Paige Chambers, a determined young lawyer, has a very personal reason for wanting to know the answer.

Historia
Ensor is no ordinary cop. He's a hero, winner of the Medal of Valor, devoted family man and coach, helping at-risk kids. But the driver who struck him down and didn't stop isn't ordinary either. He's Judge Frank Stevenson, up-and-coming member of the bench, also devoted to his wife and daughter, involved in charities and good works. In a split second he did something completely uncharacteristic that changes his life and the lives of everyone close to him.

Historia
For high-powered personal injury attorney Noah Byron, the good things in life come with a price tag - cars, houses, women. That's why he represents only cases that come with the possibility of a nice cut of the action. But as a favor to his ex-wife, he meets with the mother of twelve-year-old Joel, a boy poisoned by tainted children's medicine. While the official story is that a psycho tampered with bottles, the boy's mother believes something much more sinister is at work...and the trail leads right back to the pharmaceutical company.

Worth listening to
Revisado: 07-17-22
I enjoyed the story and will check out more from this author. Narration was good for the men, not so much for the women. Olivia sounded more like a dimwit then the intelligent woman she was supposed to be. Maybe an additional female narrator would have been better.

Narrator is all wrong
Revisado: 11-19-17
I couldn't really get into the story due to the narrator, she's British and Keri Locke is a detective at LAPD. I actually listened to half of the story thinking that I could get around the narrator but I just never could. I think the narrator would be wonderful with the right story as she was spoke very clearly, just not this story at least for me. I wanted to finish the story so I bought a Kindle edition.

Why bother
Revisado: 01-11-17
This is my first Bookshot and after listening I really thought why bother. It certainly doesn't add anything to the Michael Bennett series. As far as Bookshots are concerned it might be better just to be a stand alone book. I think I would have felt the same if I read this instead of listening as I have never been one for novellas.
