More of an epilogue to a great season
Revisado: 09-02-18
It’s a good book, but one I feel only a big Philadelphia Eagles fan will appreciate, unlike some other sports classics. The reason is simple: Coach Pederson is a humble and pretty normal guy who is defining feature is his resilience and fearlessness. What this means is that the book doesn’t show any extraordinarily different aspects about his personality or deep insights into the team or leadership. It’s all pretty straightforward-what you see with Coach P is what you get. So don’t expect to learn any great James about metre ship or deep insights into Doug or the minds of the Philadelphia Eagles, rather, expect to have a fairly light journey into the recent past and touch up on some nice moments about his upbringing, but nothing more. As a big Philadelphia Eagles fan, I enjoyed the book, but I would not play this audio book in the car with my spouse having to listen to it because it’s just not interesting enough to the general public.

Historia
This classic sports book takes listeners inside the 1967 season of the Green Bay Packers, following that storied team from training camp to their dramatic victory in Super Bowl II. Candid and often amusing, Jerry Kramer describes from a player's perspective a bygone era of sports, filled with blood, grit, and tears. No game better exemplifies this period than the classic "Ice Bowl" conference championship game between the Packers and the Dallas Cowboys, which Kramer, who made the crucial block in the climactic play, describes in thrilling detail.

I haven’t read another story like this from a player. It also gives a glimpse into the life of Lombardi. The narration was very good, but could have been better had the narrator been more youthful, like the writer.

Can’t believe he’s not a professional author
Revisado: 04-26-18
This book was captivating from the start. Comey really knows how to tell a story. And he fits in leadership and character lessons along the way in a manner that is not patronizing.
To be honest, I actually preferred the pre-Trump part of the Book more than the post-Trump part. I learnt lot about the American political system as well about his leadership style. In fact he had lots of good tips for ethical leadership in general.
The only part if found unfortunate was how he brought up extraneous details about his encounter with Trump which could be construed as mean spirited and unnecessary. Comey had done such a good job subtly building his case, this was unnecessary. Perhaps the publisher had a hand in this.
It is hard not to believe his case after having read his book.

Great sports writing and narration
Revisado: 06-26-17
I find sports writers often aren't that great when it comes to books, but this was a fantastic read. The writing was exciting, even if I didn't practice some of the sports, and the psychology sound. Matt Fitzgerald also did a fantastic job narrating - he could be a pro.

"No" is sometimes the hardest word to say. It's also the most necessary. How many times have you heard yourself saying yes to the wrong things - overwhelming requests, bad relationships, time-consuming obligations? How often have you wished you could summon the power to turn them down? This program will help you take back your power by showing that a well-placed "No" can not only save you time and trouble, it can save your life.

I thought this was a fun and insightful "read"
Revisado: 01-14-15
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, in fact, I bought a copy for my fiancee to listen to and she likes it too.
What other book might you compare The Power of No to and why?
Wayne Dyer's work. Only I find it more fun.
What does James Altucher and Claudia Azula Altucher bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Their banter. I know some people didn't like it, but I found it a lot of fun, and so did my fiancee when she listened to it (separately from me).
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
I wouldn't make a film of it, it would be boring.

A virtual waste of time
Revisado: 12-14-14
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
If the author hung up his ego.
What could Oren Klaff have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Not do the narration.
What didn’t you like about Oren Klaff’s performance?
He's so egotistical.
What character would you cut from Pitch Anything?
Himself.
Any additional comments?
His entire pitch premise comes off as canned as a pick-up artist how to manual. It's really about applying your ego relentlessly. He does provide some value in terms of how to counter some resistance when making a pitch, but this would be more effective if read.

A new What Colour is your Parachute
Revisado: 12-14-14
What did you love best about Finding Your Element?
The author's insight and dry wit.
What did you like best about this story?
The author provided a gentle, but clear path to uncovering personal truths, incorporating many elements from other (referenced) sources into a neat package. I especially liked the way he presented the tool of meditation.
What does Ken Robinson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He is a marvelous speaker, which comes out a little bit in his reading, but, unfortunately, not enough. I saw him present to a captive audience of about a thousand. He stood the entire time and didn't refer to his notes (at least not noticeably). It was only later that I even realized he had polio.
What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?
The framework for self-discovery.
Any additional comments?
It's less worth reading if you aren't prepared to do the exercises, but his humour makes it worthwhile nonetheless.

Historia
Before Liz Lemon, before Weekend Update, before Sarah Palin, Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: A recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV. She has seen both these dreams come true. At last, Tina Fey's story can be told. From her youthful days as a vicious nerd to her tour of duty on Saturday Night Live. Tina Fey reveals all, and proves what we've always suspected: You're no one until someone calls you bossy.

So boring I couldn't finish it
Revisado: 07-24-14
Would you try another book from Tina Fey and/or Tina Fey?
No
What was most disappointing about Tina Fey’s story?
She had a really normal life. Let's face it, most of our lives aren't really that interesting. And her storytelling isn't all that great. She needed 30 Rock writers to work on it.
Would you be willing to try another one of Tina Fey’s performances?
No, she was weak and tried too hard. Like Alec Baldwin as the Oscars host.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
disappointment. :(
Any additional comments?
I have no idea why some people found it so funny. Listen to the sample and decide.
