I have loved every C.J. Archer book that I've heard except this one. You can call be a prude if you want but I don't appreciate the sex scenes. Leave the details out of that and the story would be pretty good.

Love the Amelia Peabody series!

This is a very enjoyable historical fiction series. It’s set in the late 1800’s when Egyptian archaeology was at its height in England. The heroine is an indomitable lady who knows what she wants to do and does it. She loves solving crimes while she’s at it.
I love the narrator too, of course, everything Barbara Rosenblat has done is excellent.

Where does Phoenix and Ashes rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This is a different view of a Cinderella story. I enjoyed the twists and turns.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Phoenix and Ashes?
