What I liked about the story: everything. Zahn has a writing style that transports me into the world. It's easy for me to picture what's happening as the story unfolds.
What I like about the narrator: Collins spoke very crisply, so it was easy to understand the words. He changed his voice for different characters.
What I didn't like about the narrator: he's so intent on pronunciation that he reads a bit too slowly where I kept feeling like I needed to pull the story out of his mouth. I changed the speed to 1.2 (default is 1.0). It was a bit too fast, but better than too slow. In the default speed, the word 'sphere' sounded like spherrrre.

I've purchased Book #2 in this series.

Felt as though I was there, a part of the story. Revan is also a great tie into the video game.

Dana Stabenow is an incredible writer and Marguerite Gavin is an extraordinary narrator. No exaggeration. When I listen to the Kate Shugak series, I often feel like I’m in the kitchen with Kate cooking Moose Stew, or walking along beside her in the Park, trying to understand the why’s and how’s of a murder, all under the watchful eye of her side-kick and friend, the 1/2 wolf named Mutt.

This is probably my 4th walk-through of this series and I’m enjoying every minute of it.

Many thanks to Dana Stabenow for sharing her gift of writing and to Marguerite Gavin’s story-telling finesse.

I vacillate between listening for hours, enraptured by Longmire and crew, to shutting off the audiobook because I don’t want to reach the end. Mr. Johnson never disappoints with his writing. As I listen to the story, I feel as I’m there IN the story, watching it unfold. Mr. Guidall brings all the characters to life. Every. Single. Time.

Longmire series is a joy to read (or listen to).

I enjoyed The Cuckoo’s Calling. It’s a great piece of detective work by Robert Galbraith and Robert Glenister is a superb narrator.

I’m getting ready to return this book and I’ll get the print version from somewhere else. The narrator was awful. It sounded like she was hiding an Irish accent and I couldn’t distinguish one person from the next.

Today, I was thinking how tired I am of books and other media having storylines where bad things happen to good people and good things happen to the bad. I want to read (or listen) to stories where good people prevail, have integrity, and a dash of a great sense of humor. I want to walk away with a smile on my face and the anticipation of the next story in the series.

The first author that met these expectations was Tony Hillerman with his characters, Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee. Second, was Robert B. Parker and his character, Spenser. Now, Craig Johnson with Walt Longmire and Henry Standing Bear.

Thank you Mr. Johnson for creating characters and stories that transports me, where I find I’m walking next to Sheriff Longmire and seeing Wyoming through his eyes.

An avid reader and fan.

Edit: George Guidall is also a favorite narrator. I feel he breathes life into Sheriff Longmire.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t get past the first chapter of this audiobook because the narrator was almost monotone in her performance.

This must be my 10th time reading/listening to Dana Stabenow's Kate Shugak series and as soon as I'm through, I'll start my 10th time on the Liam Campbell series.

Ms. Stabenow is an incredible storyteller, and in her writing, I find myself standing next to Kate as the story unfolds. I'm immersed into a rich culture, I can see Kate's determination to find the truth, and I find that even after the 10th time, I can't stop reading or listening to the audiobook until the story is finished.

Thank you Ms. Stabenow!
