Missed Rapheal and Cyn!
Revisado: 06-01-18
Definitely back to what this series was all about so happy to be taking a turn for the better. I felt a little lost in this series when Duncan came out written differently and with a new narrator. Took me quite some time to get through that book and to continue on. They started getting better so I stayed with the series. Thank you for getting back to the series I loved before Duncan came out. I also missed Cyn and Raphael and what a shocker to see Nick as well. Won't say more so not to spoil. There was one thing that really drove me crazy is that they kept calling Elka, Elky. I am not sure if this was an oversight or trying to give her a nickname but Elka is unique enough just seemed like a mistake to me and I wanted to correct them every time it was used.

Disappointed in Story and New Narrator
Revisado: 06-09-17
Is there anything you would change about this book?
The plot was good but the way it was written was no where as good as the previous four books. Not sure why such a big change in the writing and a narrator change all at once. I would recommend to develop the characters in a way that they do not seem so forced. We know Duncan is a powerful vampire from the previous books but I felt like we were trying to be convinced of his power constantly. Power is felt and developed through other means besides saying "I am powerful" and much more convincing. Same issue with Emma trying to force that she is strong and independent yet her actions and words do not convey that. I think the new narrator also does not help.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
Still trying to get through it on chapter 22 so disappointed had to stop and write my review.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Nick J. Russo?
Please go back to previous narrator. Nick Russo is very one tone and does not have a lot of emotion. The characters seem whiny and do not feel the same and what I have to imagine them to be.
Could you see Duncan being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
Yes, Charlie Hunnam.
Any additional comments?
I loved the first 4 books so much it just seems like someone else wrote this book. I am not sure if I will purchase book 6 or not. Really disappointed as I love DB Reynolds books.

Sorry to say - Narration Very Dissapointing
Revisado: 12-19-16
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Better narration as I could not get in to book and had to quit listening.
Who was your favorite character and why?
N/A
How could the performance have been better?
Very flat and non-engaging I have many of Cherise Sinclair's books from audible and on my kindle, however, I was so disappointment with the narration that I had to stop listening. The women's voices were very exaggerated to a high squeal to a low tone. Wen Ross unfortunately is very mono tone. The Shadowlands was so well done that there is no comparison. I only listened to about 10 minutes and am going to return the book.

She takes my breath away; she is so beautifully damaged. Yes, I had broken her, ravished her life, and destroyed her happiness. I brought her to the ultimate despair. I was responsible for all the pain and suffering that now brought her to her knees in front of me. Broken. Hopeless. Reckless in her agony. She is a mirror of my own tortured soul. But what I took away I can give back, in ways she cannot even begin to imagine. She is everything right in all my wrongs.

Sadly Disappointed
Revisado: 06-29-16
What disappointed you about Vandal?
It started out fine, however, I did not realize it was going down the BDSM path. I like BDSM books and if you do not do your homework the scenes are just unrealistic and do not make sense. After you read one of Cherise Sinclair's books you will know immediately if the writer has done their homework to make the scenes believable. I did not make it through the book. I stopped at when he left to go to the store. I may try and pick at a later date.
Has Vandal turned you off from other books in this genre?
No I just downloaded her next book (love the narrator) and I always give the writer another shot, sometimes ideas do not always come to life or were as good as they hoped.
How could the performance have been better?
The storyline was too far fetched and the BDSM scenes not realist enough for me which made them silly.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
From what I read, the beginning could have happened as grief does strange things to people then it really went astray for me.

Historia
Vanessa Mazur knows she's doing the right thing. She shouldn't feel bad for quitting. Being an assistant/housekeeper/fairy godmother to the top defensive end in the National Football Organization was always supposed to be temporary. She has plans, and none of them include washing extra-large underwear longer than necessary. But when Aiden Graves shows up at her door wanting her to come back, she's beyond shocked.

Be Patient Worth the Wait
Revisado: 06-20-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, it took a minute to get into the book, however, was worth the wait.
Who was your favorite character and why?
The Big Guy of course. I loved that what he had done and how he had felt were hidden until the almost the very end. You do realize as you go along, but I love how they spelled it out and how wonderful would that be to hear.
Which scene was your favorite?
"Spoiler Alert" When she comes across the finish line and he scoops her up in his arms. The meaning of this gesture brought me to tears.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
More than words can say.
Any additional comments?
I almost gave us on this book because the beginning was a little slow. I love Zapata, so I held on and was I pleasantly surprised. This is definitely back to the books I love. I did not care so much for the last book. Thanks again for bringing me back.

Not My Favorite
Revisado: 12-11-15
What did you like best about Tainted? What did you like least?
Not sure there was a best part. I did not like that they pronounced Vita's name differently than the first book it was an irritation every time they said her name. Not as well edited as the first book. They say Sawyers name about 10 times then the band member says what is your name. Small things like that bothered me. Also there was very little from Kaden's point of view. It was really far fetched and tried to reach places too soon when they were not there yet.
What could Jamie Begley have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
A better editing job. It lacked cohesiveness. It did not have a tight story that let to the things that happened. I guess I needed a little more depth into the characters. Also I would have loved to know what Kaden was thinking many times in the book.
How could the performance have been better?
Pronouncing Vita's name the same as in book 1.
Do you think Tainted needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Not sure, if it turned around to more like book 1 I would say yes.

Glad I took a Chance
Revisado: 10-27-15
Would you consider the audio edition of Beneath This Mask to be better than the print version?
I did not read the print version.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved all the characters and how they fit together perfectly. Charlie strong and stubborn, yet soft and caring on the inside. Con, your BFF with benefits, we all love those. Simon the rich gorgeous persistent man that drives you crazy.
What about Andi Arndt and Holter Graham ’s performance did you like?
All of it. It was so refreshing coming off a book that had a horrible narrator to voices that draw you in make you part of the story.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
When huck got hit by the car I cried my eyes out. I loved that dog.
Any additional comments?
I am glad that I tried this book now I am hooked. I tried this book because of the comments and it was on sale. What a good way to draw us in and great writing to keep us going.

Sometimes you don't mean to become another person. Sometimes the choice is made for you, and pretending is the only thing that keeps you going. When Alexis Romera is taken and her kidnappers find her fake ID in her purse, she must become Sophia in order to keep her family safe. Revealing her real identity to the man she's sold to would be easy enough, but can she trust him? Hell-bent on avenging the murder of his uncle, Rebel doesn't seem all that interested in playing things safe.

Could have been better
Revisado: 10-26-15
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
It was not a waste, but there are definitely some issues with the wording, ridiculous and sometimes ahead of itself. Also the narrator must be changed.
If you’ve listened to books by Callie Hart before, how does this one compare?
This is my first book by Callie Hart.
What three words best describe Walles Hamonde and Kelly Burke ’s voice?
It was as if the book was written by two (2) different people. Sorry but the male voice did not deliver. The voice was took weak, slow and with a lisp. Very unbelievable and it threw the entire character off for me. When Kelly spoke I liked that version of rebel better. She could have narrated the entire book as she did all the voices better.
Do you think Rebel needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Yes, with new narrator or only female narration. The plot is there but it needs to be told better getting to the good parts. Its as if they are trying to be the characters instead of actually being them.
Any additional comments?
I prefer when the opposite character describes the other as so not to say "I am a bad ass but I do not say this to be cocky" Ridiculous. Let the other character describe them and it would come across way better then the character telling you how great/bad/smart etc. they are. Having them do this with such a weak voice and a lisp made it so unbelievable.

So worth the credit!
Revisado: 08-31-15
Where does Kulti rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Top five at least, I read a lot. I cannot wait for the next book to come out, I will be one of the first in line.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Sal, the main character, I really related to her and appreciated the fact that even in the most trying moments you can still hold your head up high.
What about Callie Dalton’s performance did you like?
Her voice is alluring and kept me involved and part of the story. Some narrators have a little quirk here and there (ex. too soft, breathy, high pitched, etc.), however, I did not find that with Callie's narration.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes......., if only I had the time!
Any additional comments?
This is only the second book I have listened to from Mariana Zapata, and just like the first I patiently wait for the next.

Good but dissapointed
Revisado: 06-24-15
Would you try another book from Kristen Proby and/or Sebastian York and Rachel Fulginiti ?
I love Kristen Proby, however, there was just not enough substance to this book. The love story was endearing but needed much more substance. There was not enough detail/background with any of the characters to really fall in love with them which I did with previous books. There was very little regarding the theft which was really disappointing. I think there were many missed opportunities to make this book 5 stars.
Would you recommend Easy Love to your friends? Why or why not?
If you want a really easy romance then this book is for you.
What about Sebastian York and Rachel Fulginiti ’s performance did you like?
The performance was great and I related to them easily.
Was Easy Love worth the listening time?
Yes, it was not horrible just disappointed and wanted something more. There were not the highs and lows or the laughter in her previous writings. I guess I just expected to be as good as her others.
