This was just so cool to listen to! It was just like watching the show! What was enjoyable was that the stories from the show were longer with a bit more detail than the allotted time the television program allows.
Also, I just LOVE Giorgio Tsoukalos!

Mama Black Widow Just Breaks My Heart....

Every time I read this book I am just so saddened by the heartbreak, despair and trauma that this family has suffered by the hands of the matriarch and her endless emotional warfare she has instilled upon them. My heart cries for Otis especially since he spent a greater part of his adult years trying to break free from the grip of "Mama."
This is one of my favorite books from Iceberg Slim because it's a gritty portrayal of a family caught in the web of lies, deceit, lust, greed and torment.
Bobby Spears did an excellent job narrating this book.

This Book Always Gives Me Chills!

I love how the character of God always switches between Ellen Burstyn and Edward Asner. It keeps me focused and on track. Neale Donald Walsh is one of my favorite authors. This book is PRIMO!

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies...

Jane Austin was always boring to me whenever we were assigned her books to read in school. There was always something about reading incessant ramblings of being a "lady", meddling mothers, gowns and balls, that always seemed to bore me to tears. Oh the agony of such dribble, the fuss, the shame, the follies...adding zombies (I mean "unmentionables"), made reading Jane a bit more tolerable, however, still quite dull and gravely unbearable.
I do, however, give Seth Grahame-Smith 5 stars for the carnage. Bravo....
Katherine Kellgren was AWESOME! (her accent was simply marvelous)

I loved watching the movie, "Rosemary's Baby," with Mia Farrow, but it was an extra added treat to have Mia narrate the story. I LOVED Mia's performance, just as I enjoyed her in the movie.
This is definitely worth adding to the library.

This was classic and I couldn't stop laughing. A definite must have to the library. We've all been there and uttered those very words under our breaths....so you will definitely be able to relate.

Although I Own the Book

If you could sum up Sacred Contracts in three words, what would they be?
Although I own the book, I wanted to "cheat" a bit and listen rather than actually "read" it and I have to say that after hearing Caroline Myss's voice (dry and lackluster) I opted to read the book instead. It's a great book, Caroline's voice is irritating so I couldn't finish the audible.

I've only just started this story but I have been reeled in by not only the narration, but the story itself. Once I have completed the story I will be able to update my review. So far though....so good!
