Historia
Those who have made the decision to homeschool their children have done so out of great love for them and a desire to provide them an excellent education in the context of a warm, enriching home. Yet so many parents (mainly mothers) who have taken up this challenge find the enterprise often full of stress, worry, and anxiety.

Excellent Encouragement for Homeschool Mom’s
Revisado: 12-31-23
I have been homeschooling for 7 years and I still needed this book.
It’s easy to get caught up in the list of “shoulds” with homeschool, but we often miss the whole reason we chose to start in the first place. This book is an easy read/listen that reminds us to put the first things first as we journey through homeschool.

Historia
Florie’s OCD and her mother’s worrying have kept her from a lot of things, like having an after-school job and getting her driver’s license. And now that she’s graduated high school, while her best friend Kacey is headed off to Portland in the fall, Florie’s taking a parent-sanctioned gap year off before starting college. When the decision was made, Florie was on board, but now she can’t ignore the growing itch to become the person she wants to be and venture outside the quaint, boring Washington town she grew up in.

Historia
Seventeen-year-old Sally Spitz is done with dating. Or at least, she's done with the horrible blind dates/hookups/sneak attacks her matchmaking bestie, Hooker, sets her up on. There's only so much one geek girl and Gryffindor supporter can take. Her solution: she needs a fake boyfriend. And fast. Enter Becks, soccer phenom, all-around-hottie, and Sally's best friend practically since birth. When Sally asks Becks to be her F.B.F. (fake boyfriend), Becks is only too happy to be used.

Character arch who?
Revisado: 12-03-23
This book. No characters not a single one had any sort of character development.
When I say her mom and “best friend” is insane I’m not kidding they are literally insane. They could not let go of the fact that she wasn’t ready to date or that she didn’t like any of the guys (and one girl) that they set her up with. The fact that sally was scared to LEAVE THE HOISE BECUASE OF HER MOTHER AND “BEST FRIEND” is not OK and nobody not a single person addressed this. Not to say I didn’t like the central couple they were cute but this could have been avoided.
This book could have been WAY batter then it currently is there is a very obvious plot rout that could have been taken but NO.
Now this was the first book and probably the last book I will ever listen to from this author and maybe her other books aren’t as bad but this one has turned me off.
P.S After listening to this I literally called one of my friends and yelled at her about how mad it made me

Historia
It’s officially booty o’clock, I’m alone again in my kitchen choking down a slice of terrible chocolate cake…and I’m pretty sure I just got drunk texted by the man I have a ginormous crush on. I’ve been daydreaming about Eliot Hoffman’s dimples for two months, and even though I’m sure this was a mistake on his end, it doesn’t mean it’s not an opportunity on mine. It’s the middle of the night, and I just wanna talk to him. So I text him back.

I absolutely love how Sweet talk and Call me maybe’s s stories intertwined. I love how how the stereotypes weren’t so stereotypical. I love this book I can’t believe it was only five hours.

Historia
The stories we read--and the conversations we have about them--help shape family traditions, create lifelong memories, and become part of our legacy. Reading aloud not only has the power to change a family—it has the power to change the world. But we all know that connecting deeply with our families can be difficult in our busy, technology-driven society. Reading aloud is one of the best ways to be fully present with our children, even after they can read themselves, but it isn't always easy to do.

So encouraging!
Revisado: 09-25-20
As a homeschool mom with 5 kids, this was the book I needed to hear. It was so encouraging to hear reminders that reading books is enough and tactics to get my kids more engaged in reading aloud. The book list chapters are clunky on audio but I can look them up and find what I need for our family.

Historia
Zero is just one of 20,000 people aboard a spaceship bound for a new planet set to be colonized. The journey is over a century long but luckily, everyone is in stasis, so they’ll be safe and sound asleep during the trip. Everyone that is, except for Zero, whose pod has malfunctioned, waking him up a hundred years early. His initial excitement in roaming the ship alone quickly turns to a heart-stopping interstellar adventure when a family of space pirates show up, trying to hijack the ship and take the colonizers hostage.
