Historia
Only a fool would venture into the soul-stealing mists. That’s exactly where Odin is going. Along with blood-brother Loki, he hunts the frost giant who murdered his father. Caught between the machinations of Loki and a goddess, Odin is drawn into a world of sorcerers, trolls, and terrible secrets. Before he’s done, Midgard will drown in blood.

A work of art
Revisado: 08-31-22
Truly an amazing listen. When I first started I thought I might have chosen poorly. The action was slow at the start and learning the names was a chore. However I am so glad that I did. I will be revisiting this grand and epic tale again in the future. One of the greatest and most gripping fantasy/action stories I’ve ever experienced. Give it a chance past the first few hours and you will not be displeased.

Dislike the narrator
Revisado: 01-12-21
As I am sure you’ve seen in many other reviews, this new narrator is a downgrade. I found it very difficult to get interested in this one because his voice failed to captivate me. Several hours in this changed, but the start was a slough. My biggest complaint is the glaring differences in pronunciation between this book and the first three. This really distracts from the story.

Historia
On Christmas Eve, 2017, Tess Henry was found dead in a dumpster in Las Vegas. Tess was a 28-year-old new mother, a former honor roll student, and a high school basketball player from suburban Roanoke, Virginia, a place ravaged by the national opioid crisis. The New York Times best-selling author Beth Macy chronicled Tess and her mom, Patricia, through Tess' harrowing, years-long battle to recover from heroin addiction in her award-winning book Dopesick: Dealers, Doctors, and the Drug Company That Addicted America.

A great big sob story
Revisado: 04-09-20
Nothing inherently wrong with this story. It's just very heavy on the victim mentality and makes people appear utterly powerless. I fundamentally disagree with the presentation of arguments. However it was very well put together and clearly much effort was put into it. There is a lot of good information on addiction and its causes. I also felt that the narrator was entirely too close to the subject and this shows. It's more of a biased story as opposed to a subjective documentary.

Historia
Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

Terrible narrator
Revisado: 12-11-19
The story is great, but I cannot stand this narrator. He has terrible pronunciation of names. Sometimes Bran is Brian, Joffrey is Jeffrey, Petyr is always "pah-tare". He only has about three voices he uses, the most aggravating ones being his voice for Khal Drogo, sounding mentally deficient and Tyrion sounding like an unenthusiatic 95 year old. He truly does ruin this story for me. I've heard FAR better versions for free on YouTube.
