As good as her last Imp series

I really enjoyed this book! The story was well written and kept my attention! I loved Debra Dunbar’s previous Imp series and wasn’t expecting this to rival it. It’s the first book in the series but it’s a great start! I thought the narrator did a good job as well.

Ugh - Narrator changes are hard

Like everyone else I'm disappointed with the change in narators. This wouldn't be so bad if the narrator just read each character in his own voice! The attempts to vary his voice by being gruff makes the characters seem unrecognizable. This isn't the first book in this series to have a different narrator but both of these books seemed diminished for it. The previous books depicted the characters as being smooth, effortless and devious. I think I would've enjoyed reading this myself on kindle instead of listening to the audio book. This series has always been one of my all time favorites and I'm glad it's back.

Love the series, not worth the price!

I've been enjoying this series by Alex Lidell but is it worth the price? This episode was about $11.00. I didn't realize how much I was spending each month to get an "episode" of a novel. I understand that audio books cost more than there kindle counterparts but for this price I think it's best to read instead of listening. I'm wondering what the cost of the full novel will be, when and if it's finally released? I wish I hadn't started these episodes and just waited for the entire book! This is definitely a new way for an author to get their money's worth by releasing sections or episodes of a story each month. I hope the cost evens out to that of the books these episodes correspond to. I also hope this type of audio doesn't catch on with other authors. The episodes have been entertaining but I think they'd be best enjoyed as a whole.
