Historia
Billy Kelly's This Is a Family Show! is a stand-up comedy experience (with music) that parents and kids can enjoy together. From jokes about nocturnal animals and microwaves to Ben Franklin and people throwing turtles, the whole family will laugh along while listening to this comedian’s unique perspectives. It’s comedy toast with the crust cut off. Who needs all that crusty talk about dating, politics, and money, anyway?

not my thing - too much recorded laughter .
Revisado: 03-22-20
I'm sorry but I just don't find the jokes funny and the story telling too drawn out and annoying. On the other hand I don't live in North America so maybe it's a cultural barrier that's blocking my funny bone.

an outstanding performance - thank-you!
Revisado: 09-16-17
What about Nicholas Boulton’s performance did you like?
What talent ! the character of the Duke was wonderfully conveyed - the frustration with his mental impediment, his inner feelings, his character development. Perfect! I don't think I would have had the same experience if I had just read the book.

Historia
Of especially naughty children, it is sometimes said: “They must have been raised by wolves.” The Incorrigible children actually were. Discovered in the forests of Ashton Place, the Incorrigibles are no ordinary children: Alexander keeps his siblings in line with gentle nips; Cassiopeia has a bark that is (usually) worse than her bite; and Beowulf is alarmingly adept at chasing squirrels.

A 'My Fair Lady/ Mary Poppins' mix
Revisado: 11-05-16
If you could sum up The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place in three words, what would they be?
very "British" vocabulary
What about Katherine Kellgren’s performance did you like?
her voice was well suited to interpret the authoritative but kind Mary Poppins like nanny and the snobbish, unfeeling aristocrat parents and their society
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
the story ended almost in mid sentence - a bit of a let down - even for a 'series'
Any additional comments?
might not be appreciated by North American children

Tess Durbeyfield has become one of the most famous female protagonists in 19th-century British literature. In telling her desperate and passionate story, Hardy brings Tess to life with an extraordinary vividness that makes her live in the heart of the reader long after the novel is concluded.

The Hobbit is one of the most widely read and best-loved books of the 20th century. Now Professor Corey Olsen takes listeners deep within the text to uncover its secrets and delights. Chapter by chapter, he reveals the stories within the story: the dark desires of dwarves and the sublime laughter of elves, the nature of evil and its hopelessness, the mystery of divine providence and human choice, and, most of all, the transformation within the life of Bilbo Baggins.

What did you love best about Exploring J.R.R. Tolkien's 'The Hobbit'?
This is a fantastic book for those very familiar with most Tolkien's main works. You should be familiar ( the books, not the movies ) not only with the Hobbit, but the Lord of the Rings and the Silmarillion in order to appreciate this book. Feel like digging deeper into Tolkien's style, meaning and method of writing - this book is for you.
Any additional comments?
Each chapter of the Hobbit is examined to bring out points that even after several readings may have been missed.
