Good but could be better.
Revisado: 07-13-24
I think Tim Curry is a Phenomenal actor. However, his voice acting in this left a lot to be desired as there was no differences in his voice for the different characters which a few times was a bit confusing. Other than that it was a great listen.

Great Story
Revisado: 06-03-21
The story is great. It took a little to really get into it. At the beginning the narrator sounded super excited and it was hard to get past not knowing what was background information and what was dialog (internal or external). It was also hard to discern different characters dialog in the beginning, but it got better as the story progressed. Overall a good listen!

Historia
Nowhere Park is a haven for troubled kids. On the first night of summer, magic doorways appear in each of the seven cities of the southwest, and all the bastard boys and wild girls come running to answer the call. No adults, no police, no laws can follow them through. There are only a few rules to the Park, and the first is to obey the king. Legend has it that anyone who breaks the rules will be cut down by the Snipes — huge scorpion creatures with sword-like claws.

Great Story Awesome Narration
Revisado: 04-16-21
Such an awesome story that really draws you in . The narrator is amazing, you really truly feel like your listening to different characters in the story not even realising that it's one guy doing it all. Again such a great story and amazing narration I would highly recommend this book.

Good story, Narrator okay
Revisado: 02-02-21
The story is very good. The narrator is very believable and great as a gruff military type; however his attempt at a feminine voice a little hard to swallow at times. All his male character voices are pretty distinct, all his female character voices all sound the same. None the less it is a good story.

Awesome Story and Performance
Revisado: 11-28-20
Great story! And the performance was awesome! I throughly enjoyed every second. It's a story that you can listen to in the car and kids will enjoy it. The sound effects help keep their attention and really encourages them to use their imagination. My kids have asked to listen to this story many times while on road trips.

Great Story and Performance
Revisado: 11-28-20
As the headline states this was a great story and performance by the narrator. I wasn't quite sure about it going in but was pleasantly surprised. The reason for the overall 4 stars is because there were a few bad places in the recording. One chapter where it starts off good then nothing but static. Don't know if I missed any part of the story or not. A 2nd place where the same paragraph repeats twice. But neither one of these issues take away from the story itself. Give it a whirl, you'll be glad you did!

It's okay
Revisado: 10-03-20
It took a lot longer for me to get through this audio book than others. While the story itself was decent (minus the fact there were WAY to many characters) the narrator is what got me and made it difficult to listen to. She was almost robotic. Male characters were extremity robotic sounding and the females, though not as much, leaned that way some.

Historia
Alexander Grant is a little too good at a few too many things. Two dozen martial arts. Twice that many languages. Chess, the piano, sports, forging excused absences, you name it. He graduated high school top of his class 17 times. Of course, no one knows any of this. Not that he wants to go unnoticed. It’s just safer that way.
