Historia
Founded in London in 1717 as a way of binding men in fellowship, Freemasonry proved so addictive that within two decades it had spread across the globe. Masonic influence became pervasive. Under George Washington, the Craft became a creed for the new American nation. Masonic networks held the British empire together. Under Napoleon, the Craft became a tool of authoritarianism and then a cover for revolutionary conspiracy. Both the Mormon Church and the Sicilian mafia owe their origins to Freemasonry.

Well-written, well-narrated
Revisado: 04-23-22
I listened to this in the background while working or doing chores the first time around, and a little more closely the second time around. I also have the hardcover book which I highly recommend. Every American should read this and form an opinion of where the Brotherhood went wrong, and how it could look moving forward.

Historia
In this world premiere play, written by and featuring Shakina Nayfack, a vibrant, international group of transgender women band together at a hotel in Thailand to confront the challenges and joys of gender confirmation surgery. Despite the group’s warm welcome, Kina (Nayfack) prepares for her life-altering operation all alone. But a caring nurse (Ivory Aquino), a wise couple (Kate Bornstein and Annie Golden), and a karaoke-loving bellhop (Telly Leung) may be exactly who she needs to ignite her truest sense of self.

An Easy-to-Visualize Audio Performance
Revisado: 04-16-22
Sounds like a.... play! I didn't even think about the foley work until the interview at the end - I pressed play and saw the entire thing. I never once "rewound" the audio which is rarity with my audiobook experience. I was captivated by the story and it was well-staged - like old-timey radio! I'm looking forward to hearing more by this writer and director.

My space man
Revisado: 09-02-21
Based on his Eight Virtues of the Avatar featured in Ultima IV, I made the decision that, if there were such an election, I would vote Richard Garriott for "American Space Man", as opposed to the other rich white guys who endeavor to turn cocaine money into space travel for criminals (Jeff Bezos, Richard Branson and Elon Musk).
I find it troubling that Garriott seems to have the desire to live forever, but I suppose that's on par with white guys who endeavor to colonize the galaxy.
I'm glad I read the book. It solidifies my imaginary vote.

On screen, Danny Trejo the actor is a baddie who has been killed at least a hundred times. He’s been shot, stabbed, hanged, chopped up, squished by an elevator, and once, was even melted into a bloody goo. Off screen, he’s a hero beloved by recovery communities and obsessed fans alike. But the real Danny Trejo is much more complicated than the legend.

You gotta hear it in Trejo's voice
Revisado: 08-02-21
Your mind might do a pretty good Trejo, but there's nothing like this living legend reading his life for you himself. What a journey. And it's not over! I am truly inspired by this man and plan on using his insights to improve my life.
