Love this series. This left some room for more, but this could serve to end.

Historia
The human powers have been pushed to the brink, battered, and almost destroyed. The virus they have invented and deployed, their sole possibility for victory, seems to be too little, too late. Its usage has only spurred the enemy to quicker action, to finish the war before they have to deal with its effects. But the humans do not know that the Highborn are faced on another front, by a race they know little about but have battled for two centuries.

This series has gone downhill...
Revisado: 09-29-22
Blood on the Stars started out strong story-wise. It started sliding downhill with each new enemy introduced. The author (or publisher) seems to be milking this along for all it's worth. The last few books have just repeated the same thoughts from the same characters over and over again. The level of defeatism from military personnel is becoming unrealistic. The tactics employed are unrealistic as well. I'm continuing with it because I don't like leaving anything unfinished. Thankfully, it sounds like the next book will be the last.

It's worth it

I enjoyed the first (free) book so much that I signed up for this. The story is well written and flows wonderfully. The narrator is excellent.
