Amazing Story
Revisado: 04-13-16
What made the experience of listening to Reanimators the most enjoyable?
The subject matter, the research that went into it by the author, the voice acting. Everything about this version of the book was spellbinding. From start to finish I was hooked. I have listened to it over 30 times now and am sure to keep doing so. It is like comfort food for the mind. Never bland, always fun to return to. Everything about this book is spectacular.
Which character – as performed by Oliver Wyman – was your favorite?
Dr. Hartwell
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
There is a moment when all the threads of the story start to come together. A photo involving the Titanic, I grimly laughed out loud as it happened. Such a great moment. I do not wan to spoil it but it was damn fine storytelling.
Any additional comments?
Even if you are not a fan of the mythos, you will enjoy this book if you dig solid storytelling and things that are a little off the beaten path.

Historia
A pyramid predating all known cultures appears without warning. Its discovery throws into question everything we know about the origins of mankind. Inside lies incredible technology, proof of a culture far more advanced than our own. Something dark lurks within, eager to resume a war as old as mankind. When it is unleashed it heralds the end of our species’ reign.

Never finished it
Revisado: 04-13-16
What disappointed you about No Such Thing As Werewolves?
It dragged. The concept seemed cool, the cover seemed cool, the setup seemed cool, but it never really went anywhere, I got more than half the book down and still just kind of felt like I was waiting for something more to happen.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
Never finished
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The narrator was fine enough, I think, I don't know the whole thing was just kind of off for me and I normally love this kind of stuff.
Any additional comments?
It was not horrible, do not let that be the take away, I think it was just not for me. It was written in a way that I thought it was going to be weird fiction or at least kind of a nice horror / modern pusdoscience romp and it just kind of came off like one of those B movies that makes it to theaters but everyone forgets about a year or so later. Not bad, just not what I thought it would be.

Historia
Shoggoths attack in this adrenaline-pumping novel set in the world of H. P. Lovecraft, where the horrors of the cosmos know no limits… It was in a way humanoid, as it stood on two legs and possessed two arms that ended in delicate digits that I would dare to call hands. Its skin was a pale blue, like the eggs of a robin, and curiously dry looking. The head was massive with a huge bulbous cranium, a large lipless mouth, and three blood red eyes that stared out at the world with nothing but hate.

Historia
One Christmas Eve in a small hollow in Boone County, West Virginia, struggling songwriter Jesse Walker witnesses a strange spectacle: seven devilish figures chasing a man in a red suit toward a sleigh and eight reindeer. When the reindeer leap skyward, taking the sleigh, devil men, and Santa into the clouds, screams follow. Moments later, a large sack plummets back to earth, a magical sack that thrusts the down-on-his-luck singer into the clutches of the terrifying Yule Lord, Krampus.

If you could sum up Krampus in three words, what would they be?
Damn Fine Storytelling
What did you like best about this story?
The blending of a good mythos and a modern culture
Have you listened to any of Kirby Heyborne’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have not, but he did a damn fine job.
If you could take any character from Krampus out to dinner, who would it be and why?
Krampus. He is the Yule Lord, how much fun would it be to sit down with The Yule lord an chat about things.

It was okay not great but not bad.
Revisado: 04-13-16
What did you like best about The Isle of Blood? What did you like least?
I enjoyed the island of bats. I did not really care for the payoff it was kind of lackluster.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
"Ehhh... okay"
Which character – as performed by Steven Boyer – was your favorite?
Dr. Warthrop
Was The Isle of Blood worth the listening time?
I mean, yeah I listened to it at work, it was not bad, just not that great.
Any additional comments?
The series kind of lost me with this one. The reviews of the next book then sent me down a path finding out some things and where the story is / was going and I never even bothered with the next one. This was kind of a lackluster end to what I thought could have been a really fantastic series.

More of the amazing Vimes.
Revisado: 04-13-16
What did you love best about Night Watch?
Same Vimes.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Same Vimes. He is everything a protagonist should be in my opinion. He is tired, he is slightly grumpy, he is just trying to get through the day and things keep messing up. He does not waver, he does not give up, he is not this brash hero, he is just a guy trying to get things done so he can go home and get some sleep.
Which character – as performed by Stephen Briggs – was your favorite?
Sam Vimes.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Vimes's son is born and there is a moment between Carcer and Vimes and Vetinari every time it gets me, so many emotions, all really good ones.

Made me uneasy in a good way.
Revisado: 04-13-16
What made the experience of listening to The Demonologist the most enjoyable?
The source material.
What other book might you compare The Demonologist to and why?
There is nothing to compare it to that I know of. Sadly I wish there were more books out there like this one.
What does Todd Haberkorn bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
His voice was level, he was recalling things, not trying to add anything and for a book like this, that is exactly what you want.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes and no. I wanted to know what happened next, but at the same time the book made me uneasy a feat that is not easy to do. I go to sleep to horror movies and spend a lot of time working in the genera, this however unsettled me and I enjoyed that. It is nice to know I can still be put on edge.
