For fans of Wendy Webb and Simone St. James - a chilling, romantic ghost story that spans two world wars, two brave young women, and the terrible truth that binds them.

The story may be good, the narration is horrible!
Revisado: 06-04-22
I quit after the first paragraph. I thought the author would do her own book justice and it would be good. Boy was I wrong. I had high hopes as the story sounded like one I'd like. but it is worse than the computer default text to speech narrator that can't pronounce simple words. I just couldn't listen past that first paragraph. I used one of my credits for this book. sure wish I knew how to get it back!!!!

Historia
After presenting a major scientific breakthrough to a rapt audience across the country, renowned astronomer Sarah Mayfield returns home to a disturbing discovery. Her husband, Ben, a Los Angeles restaurateur, has disappeared, leaving behind an unexplained bank deposit of a million dollars, a loaded Glock in the nightstand, and a video security system that’s been wiped clean. The only answers their son, Zack, can offer are the last words his father said to him: keep the doors locked and set the alarm.

Narrator is horrible
Revisado: 10-19-19
While the story is not bad in and of itself the narrator is really bad!! The whole story is told in 3-4 word sentences whether there is a period or comma or not. I’d rather it of been read in one long sentence than as it is. I will avoid this narrator in the future. She really ruined a fairly decent book!

Really Bad Narration
Revisado: 12-04-17
While the story line was pretty good the narrator was horrible. Long drawn out syllables at the end of almost every sentence. Thank goodness she did not add more than one accent because the one she used was really bad. If I had gotten I
This book for free I would of just returned it and gotten another but since I used up one of my credits I went ahead and suffered through it. Needless to say I will steer clear of any thing narrated by This narrator in the future.
