Historia
St. Louis in 1880 is full of ghosts - mangled soldiers, tortured slaves, the innocent victims of war - and Jacob Tracy can see them all. Ever since Antietam, when he lay delirious among the dead and dying, Trace has been haunted by the country's restless spirits. The curse cost him his family, his calling to the church, and damn near his sanity. He stays out of ghost-populated cities as much as possible these days, guiding wagon trains west with his pragmatic and skeptical partner, Boz.

Very interesting debut novel with an excellent performance!

This book isn't something that's ordinarily in my preferred genres, but I liked the off the wall concept of a steampunk western paranormal thriller. I think the author tends to overly explain things- background information, scenery...etc. Or maybe I just have a short attention span. It's nothing a few forward skips couldn't fix.
The narrator is excellent by the way and totally got me into the stories. Looking forward to the next one!

The Greatest Person to Reside in Tennessee since Elvis
Revisado: 09-11-15
If Prof. Liulevicius had taught at my school, I would have gotten up extra early just to make sure to register in time for every one of his classes. I'm sure that all of these instructors are geniuses, but this man loves teaching and you can hear it in his voice and in the way he structures his lecture. I'll admit, I'm now a total fangirl and I'll throw my money at anything that has his name on it.
